This app struggles to work at the best of times and lately it won’t even open.
In theory a good idea
App now just crashes on IOS 26.4, CarPlay crashes , prior to not working app would freeze and is generally unusable. Suggest you add data to Apple Maps and let apple do the coding.
Extremely buggy app
Jams, crashes and misfunctions in general. It used to be better but as of March 2026 it’s unusable.
Website is better
I got the app thinking it would be easier but it keeps crashing when I open it so I just deleted it and went back to the website
App and Web different results
The Web 511 has all the northern Highways closed but the App just has them snow covered. People up north are saying they under orders not to travel and the roads are ALL closed. Seems that the App has false information.
Freezes After Awhile
This is a very good app. However it freezes after awhile to the point where the app won’t open.

Crashes when you try to use CarPlay. Don’t waste your time downloading this app.
Not working on iOS 26.3
I have to regularly uninstall and reinstall to get the app to move past the black 511 home screen.
In addition, the whole 511 service is pretty useless unless you are travelling within 30 minutes of the most recent report (usually around 6 am, 11 am, 3:30 pm and 7 or 9 pm). Conditions change rapidly in the winter.

App not open
Always takes time for process and nothing open and app shut down on iPhone

The app just won’t load. It gets stuck on the Ontario 511 page.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling this apps every times and it works for a while then will not load .. typical Government service not sure why I expect more ha ha

They should put taxpayer money to good use and get someone to professionally develop a functioning app.
Not working on iPhone iOS 18.7.4
Stays on 511 black screen have to uninstall the app and reinstall the Ontario 511 to get it to work then it locks up again used be a good app but now it is a terrible app time to just delete the app and give up on it.
It’s great when it works..
This app is wonderful when it actually works but since the last update, it crashes any time I try to open it.. the only temporary fix is to uninstall and reinstall the app..very annoying when you use it often..

Good app. Sluggish and slow, but has good real-time data and info. Would be a great app if it were dependable.

O stars isn’t an option
Not sure what you have done to this app but it never works. I uninstall it & reinstall and it loads once and then never again. Road incidents & conditions never up to date. Horrible app. Fix it or eliminate it. It used to be a very helpful app
Crashing
App opens then closes before loading. I’ve reinstalled and same thing. Very frustrating when you use it for work.
so slow
this app is literally not usable, and used to be much better! It’s loading for an eternity like we are back in 2008 technology. You make a move too fast and it’s dead, gotta restart it at least five times per session
