About

Turn-based hex tactics with no dice. One purchase for iPhone, iPad and Mac. Command the Azure Corps against the Crimson Pact on Kestrel-9: a twenty-one-mission voiced campaign, Skirmish against three enemy commanders, and online matches with a ladder, shared maps and replays. Hold the high ground, seize the rigs, bring their base down: one hex, one turn, one hard decision at a time. A TWENTY-ONE-MISSION CAMPAIGN Brigadier Fenwick walks you through your first five missions, then hands you the war. Rig wars, a Sniper on the peak, a vehicle depot, a night of holding the base against three waves, a heist for the Baroness's Colonel, a wreck to repair under fire, a hunt for six Engineers, and a walled fortress to finish it. Five operations, three stars on every mission. THIRTEEN UNITS, THREE ENEMIES, FOUR ARMIES Grunts, Snipers, Engineers, Lieutenants, Scouts, Colonels, Mortars, Drones, Walkers, Rocketeers, Buggies, Tanks and Artillery. Each has a job; each has a counter. Marshal Vex attacks, Warden Brakk digs in, Baroness Aurum buys the map, and each fields an army of their own. READ THE GROUND Height stretches your range and your sight. Ridges hide what's behind them. Fog lifts only where your squad has seen. Rigs pay every round, until someone parks beside them. SKIRMISH AND SCENARIOS A fresh board every time against the commander you choose, on Easy, Normal or Hard: Last base standing, All ways to win, Capture only, Score and King of the Hill, on three board sizes, with or without vehicles. Survive three waves in Hold Out, breach a fortress in Storm the Walls, or get your Colonel home in the Heist. Come back for a new Daily Challenge every day and a Weekly Challenge every Monday, and see how you rank. Share any board with a friend. PLAY YOUR FRIENDS, OR THE WORLD Turn-based matches through Game Center: invite a friend, or auto-match a stranger and climb the ladder. A day for each turn, or an hour in blitz, with a nudge before the clock runs out. Offer a draw, play the AI while you wait, and watch any finished online match back move by move with the fog lifted, or share it with a link. DRAW YOUR OWN MAPS Paint one half of a board and the other half mirrors it. Play it, send it to a friend as a link, or publish it for your Game Center friends or for everyone, and rate the maps they publish. MADE FOR EVERY APPLE SCREEN Play a few turns on your iPhone, then settle into the same battle on iPad or Mac. One purchase covers all three. Your match saves itself and follows you through iCloud. Take your time: solo battles have no clock. Plan with a touch, mouse or keyboard, and hear your squad answer every order. SEVEN LANGUAGES Text, menus and subtitles in English, French, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese and Korean. The voices are in English. No separate Oortfall account: online play uses Game Center, sharing uses iCloud. No ads. No purchases inside the game. No tracking across apps. Crash reports and usage stats are sent only if you say so.

What's New in Oortfall

1.2

October 26, 2026

Operation 5, Black Flag: five new missions to end Warden Brakk's war, with a wreck to repair, a hunt, a column with no recruiting, an artillery hunt and a walled fortress. Skirmish scenarios: Hold Out, Storm the Walls and Heist, built fresh on any board size and difficulty. Each enemy commander now fields an army of their own. Text, menus and subtitles in French, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese and Korean. The voices stay in English. Online: blitz games at an hour a turn, draws by agreement, the deal shown before your first move, and the AI to play while you wait. Updated enemy tactics and a first balance pass: the Buggy costs 17 and the Walker hits for 6. Online, 1.2 plays 1.2. Revisit the turning points of your completed solo battles. Recent moments from your last five finished matches stay on this device for replay. Read recent mission dialogue and unit messages again in Radio history, including after resuming a saved battle. Read objectives, inspect units and choose actions from a larger-text Board details view. Optional symbols make unit classes easier to tell apart.

Incredible

The voice acting is superb and the terrain is great. A perfect blend of turn based strategy from polytopia and great little war game
