Scam, AI slop
Endless AI bots. You talk to an “assistant” who is an AI that will conform your tour with a building. When you show up to the building they will have no idea because this app scrapes ads from other websites.

Future listing feature relies on AI Predictability, not verified unit availability/information
As the title indicates, Openigloo is yet another app now relying on data pooling from rental history for lease expirations to “predict” when units will go on the market. It’s being advertised as a method for you to get ahead and plan for your anticipated move-in date (if beyond the typical 30 days out), but in reality there is no verified postings, lease expirations, or unit information on these listings that confirm unit availability; furthermore, the app artificially manufactures “scheduled viewing” windows to offer you, when in reality you’re simply messaging with their chatbot and never fulfill any tours or further conversation. It’s just a gimmick and not a productive means of “getting ahead” on your apartment search as advertised. It’s unfortunate because in theory this would be an extraordinarily helpful tool, so long as it was actually executed in a meaningful way.

Response from developer
Thanks for the feedback. Predicted availability is based on lease-history data and intended to help you plan ahead of standard listings; the scheduling step registers your interest with our leasing team in advance of formal availability. We're continually working to improve the experience for NYC renters. Happy to look into how we can help you if you reach out to support info@openigloo.com.
