Remote and AirPlay option
All of a sudden I can’t control my tv from my phone. Put back the remote option and the screen mirror or airplay option.
Fine, need room for improvement
App is not ultimately the worst, but, can use some improvements. For starters, the remote feature needs to return and secondly, the app could use a newer outlook. Hopefully, soon 🤞🏾

It’s ridiculous how they limit the channels on Optimum TV

I get the iOS link from Optmum.net to access my dvr from my phone, download this optimum tv app, sign in and get the message, “Hello, looks like you’ve installed the wrong app. Then it tells me to use the Optimum app and while that app works, it does not offer a way to access my dvr recordings. There is no way to do it!
Support reached out and says I have to return four boxes and exchange them for four new boxes to be able to use the Optimum TV app…. Huh? I need to replace all the hardware that uses cloud dvr so I can use your software???If I wanted to drive 40 minutes to the optimum store I would have. And the last time I removed a box they kept charging me for it!

APP SUCKS
Its very annoying and frustrating that you can’t fast forward when watching on demand videos. If I’ve watched something for forty minutes and then rewind to the ten minute mark, I can’t skip back to the 40 minute mark. I have to rewatch everything all over again . That is incredibly STUPID

App constantly freezes on iPad even after all troubleshooting. It’s completely useless

Generally works great. The one crucial feature missing is being able to minimize/reduce the size of the show you are watching live or recorded and be able to work in other apps at the same time. Please add this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sync issue
When using HomePods on Apple TV for surround sound, the video and sound keep falling out of sync after commercials. Reported it to Optimum, but no fix yet. Really annoying.
I loose shows occasionally, but overall the app works well
Occasionally there are bad recordings of several types. However, I really appreciate have this DVR.
Removed key features
The remote control function I used nearly every day. It was removed “to make my experience better”. Completely bogus. Not cool at all.

Aspect ratio not formatted correctly on Apple TV
Over the years I’ve explained MULTIPLE TIMES to the developers and they insist it’s not their problem and they refuse to fix it. When watching via a cable box or the iPad version of the app, it will probably show 3:4 channels burnt in the correct aspect ratio. But on the Apple TV version of the app, it will stretch the picture and crop off heads and feet. The fact they keep telling me it’s not fixable just goes to show the incompetence of Altice. —— In response to what the reply: If you cared at all, you wouldn’t have brushed me off the first time I emailed you, saying “it doesn’t need an update” when it actually does. You need to fix your code, hire better people, and do the job right!
