Great for couples who track expenses together
After testing a heap of apps over the past year I’ve found that Expenses is the ONLY app that allows couples to enter expenses from their own phones (and their own Apple accounts) and shows them all in one panel. The app is simple, clean, fast and I like that we can set budgets (limits) to any category and see how close we are to going over. Another decent app is Monefy, but it’s sync features never worked for us and it required using a third party like Dropbox to sync data. Other apps sync via iCloud which keeps couples from sharing data. Expenses is great in that it handles all the data transfer for us, keeping our phones up to date with all our expenses. A+

Best couple budget management app!
It’s hard to find the words to express how amazing this app is. It’s incredibly clean and minimalist, yet still powerful and thoughtfully designed for its purpose. My partner and I were genuinely amazed by how perfectly this tool fits our needs. We were simply looking for a way to manage a shared budget in a straightforward and collaborative way, and this app does it beautifully.
Everything feels intuitive and effortless. Adding expenses, organizing categories, and keeping track of shared spending is smooth and surprisingly enjoyable. The interface is elegant, responsive, and clearly built with a lot of care and attention to detail. It strikes that rare balance between simplicity and functionality that so many apps try to achieve but few actually deliver.
The design is outstanding, and the true black dark mode that matches the iOS aesthetic is an absolute treat for the eyes. It feels perfectly at home on the iPhone, almost as if it were a native Apple feature.
Most importantly, this app solved a real problem in our daily life. What used to require scattered notes and mental math is now organized, transparent, and effortless. It has already become part of our routine as a couple, and I’m certain it’s an app that will stay with us for a very long time. Truly a fantastic piece of work.

Loved it, but been causing issues lately
I’ve been using the app for years now and it was always nearly perfect. But over the last few months, it fails to log expenses, gets stuck on loading when refreshing the home page and as of today, none of the entries I make are being saved. Miss the old, seamless version.

My husband and I cannot figure out why the app refuses to reset the budget at the 1st of the month. We don’t want to delete the app, we even paid for the subscription but if we can’t get this figured out we will have to go with a different app
Great app but lack of support
3years without any update, doesn’t offer dark icons and will likely never support Liquid Glass… not acceptable for an app that requires a subscription
Having issues with App getting stuck
After every entry the app gets stuck and I have to kill n relaunch. This is so pathetic . Please fix it asap. Happy to edit the rating later

Broken links
So my partner and I have used this successfully but since having to reset my phone and do a restore from backup, our accounts have become unlinked. We’ve tried everything including a sharing code and nothing seems to work. Rendering the app useless without any indication as to where we can seek support.

Helpful for budgeting, tracking, and splitting expenses.
Exactly what we needed!
Works well for a couple. On my disadvantage is not being able to track individual contributions to a specific category.
