Costs money to use
I’m looking for a free budgeting app, because I don’t need another subscription. I’ve closed out of the app to see if maybe I can bypass the pop up for the subscription but nope it won’t budge. And I feel like that’s not fair to anyone who is struggling and not wanting to spend money to be able to budget and see their finances.

Great App, but connectivity issues
I actually think this app is totally amazing. So many things were thought through, it’s extremely intuitive to use and I LOVED it the first day of my free trial. I took all the time to set things up fully prepared to purchase subscription but next day I noticed my accounts were no longer synced (RBC Canada) and after trying several ways to get them connected again I realized I wasn’t going to have any success. It’s disappointing because you can tell the developers put a lot of effort in to designing this app. If connectivity issues ever get resolved I will be thrilled and will try it out again.

Duplicate Transaction Debacle
I switched to Monarch after Mint dropped out and have been happy since. There have been issues but nothing like what has happened over the past month. One of my major credit card spending accounts has brought in duplicate transactions, some even as credits instead of debits. Support then deletes the duplicates without your permission, not the last unreviewed ones, but the first ones that you already reviewed and made appropriate adjustments to! This didn’t happen once, but 3 times now! I even specifically told them not to touch any transactions but to fix the data provider causing the issue! Nope, didn’t listen, 3 times! Very disappointed!

Laggy
It’s recently become very laggy, and I’ll be looking for an alternative.
Intuitive
With the use of credits cards and no concept of cash, and multiple bank accounts, electronic bills, etc, our family was having issues keeping track of spending. I found monarch very intuitive, worth the set up, and the widget that tracks different budgets directly on our home screens has helped influence our spending.
