The app is not working. I deleted it and reinstalled but still the same issue.
Frustrating
Member & investor… I’d really have to say mostly not a fan. Honestly I just feel like OB1 is a colossal failure in my book. So much so I just walked away, every time I come back there is always an issue. Plus when you reach out with questions… crickets. Wish I could sell my OB number and be done with it.

Won’t open
The app won’t open past the main logo screen that says guest there’s nothing to press no way to navigate anywhere out of that
Fraud Alert!
I’ve had this app since 2021. Back in May 10th 2025 I ordered merch from their online store. After a month of not receiving or hearing anything I reached out and was told they had sent out for production of the emblem and would ship out end of week. Here we are July 14th. Still no product. I’ve sent 4 additional emails in past week to get an answer and absolute crickets. No email, no phone call. They don’t have a legitimate business address, it’s registered in Delaware but doing business in California. No contact phone. I’ll be sending complaints to both states of DE and CA. Also going to cancel the subscription renewal, as this app hasn’t really added in value for the price and with other options being much better. Sorry to go, but you’ve had ample time to make this right. Refund my money please. Bad business!

Apple app non-functional
As a long-time member and investor, I have used & enjoyed the Android app many years. I am glad it still works, but am disappointed that I am not able to access the standard login on the iOS app (it is covered by a partial page hung at the bottom of the landing screen). Although I can work around this by using an Android device, I hope they will fix the iOS version as that is now my daily carry device.

Crashes and cannot make an account
Just downloaded this because I’m trying to start overlanding and truck camping, but for some reason I CANNOT make an account or log in through google. If I try to create an account, it says “can’t create user”. Then if I back out and try to sign up through my google account, the app crashes.
Essentially, I can’t get past logging in. If they fix the issue and I get a response, I’ll take this review down and/or change it.

Awesome App!
This app works like a champ and the Overland Bound One community has been incredibly helpful and supportive! I am new to Overlanding and the community has been great with ideas and suggestions on how to get started and ideas for modifying my rig!
Great app
We do a ton of dispersed camping and the Overland Bound app shows details many of the other apps miss. I also find it much easier navigate within the app to set filters, add locations and plan trips.

Great product. Easy to import GPX files.
Banned No Reason
Made an account with this app. Then this app/ community will ban you for wanting to change your using name. No email saying they don’t approve the new user name. As well as no email saying your been banned then take your account down to guest. Had to find out when signing in. That’s not how a community should be.

I love the idea. I would pay for the subscription if the app was more stable. Crashes often when I’m exploring the map.
Lots of features but buggy.
The community is great but the app is very rough despite it. Multiple crashes while navigating and the message notifications ca be frustrating.
Updated
Purchased the app and it kept showing me as a guest. Had to contact developer. Recommended I use my computer to get working. That did work but now the problem is not all the features work on the app. The icon to create routes doesn’t appear like it shows in the YouTube training video. Very frustrated and disappointed. I really was hoping this would work. I jut wasted $30

Overland bound is the best
This is an amazing app especially if your off grid a lot, has countless features that are amazing and a very active community which is great for networking

This app does not let you cancel your subscription after you’ve signed up.
Not to mention there’s nothing in this app that makes it worth the $30 membership. There are other apps and avenues that cost far less or nothing that do a better job.

High Point
We arrived on a Friday late afternoon in August. There was about 6 different groups setup. Some with just one occupant and others with 6/8 people. Everyone was cool, but be prepared to have party noise late into the evening. The sound of the waves crashing into the rocks helps drown out the voices.
