Great coach service - poor app
Once you know it works only with the station names, the planner works ok - but this is counter-intuitive - given that the app lets you search using your current location.
Once you’ve got past the app and are on the coach itself, the service is very impressive indeed!
completely unusable
Do not rely on any time
Wrong information and delays
And there are delays meaning my ticket is expiring.
Can’t buy Over 60s ticket
Poor Service
Ergonomic but lacks live tracking
This is not a big issue for me but perhaps you would want to know that as you paid a lot of money to some IT business to develop you a reliable app.
The biggest issue I have with the app is that live tracking of coaches does not seem to be reliable and that would be helpful to fix please
App has made ticket activation stressful
Very slow app
Is this app ever working?
Way too confusing
App does not work
No link
Inaccurate - desperately needs updating
With the addition of new routes to the Oxford Tube service, this app doesn’t even do THAT properly anymore. It is poor.
There is nothing telling passengers which route a bus is on. This is a basic necessity for the app, and it’s missing.
The real-life signs are now inaccurate, so I use the app. In the app, you can see a bus is on the move, but there is NO WAY to tell if it is actually going to come to your stop until it does - or doesn’t. You can no longer plan a journey efficiently.
It makes boarding in London incredibly difficult. If you go to Notting Hill Gate, for example, you could end up having to wait 45 minutes as two go the other way (unexpectedly) - even though there is no signage to inform you that this has changed. The alternative is giving up and travelling to Victoria every time.
In addition, the new route isn’t even visible on the app yet. It’s not been programmed in - or if it has, it’s been done poorly. Buses regularly look like they’re driving through the middle of nowhere.
I’d be happy to update the review when it’s fixed, but as it stands, this is awful. Especially as you can activate a ticket (for 15 minutes) while queuing and then find out the bus that’s just arrived is on the wrong route. That’s unfair to customers.
Surely there are only 3 major steps to fix this: 1) add in all the new stops, 2) programme in the new routes as a list of stops, 3) tag each bus with the route they are on as soon as they set off.
If there is a feedback team I will happily talk to you about this. Please fix it.
The current state of the service is putting me off, as a customer, and I am turning towards the trains instead. If the Oxford Tube app accurately informed me of the buses and the routes they were on, I’d be able to work around the inaccurate signage and would probably use the service more again.
Can’t use
Horrible Horrible app.
Card charged but no tickets
Poor information and unclear UI
Once I got on, people were just buying tickets on the bus anyway, so I won’t be using this app in future since it’s pointless
