Not what they advertised
How do I change my mind and want to do narration only, no reading?
AI narration, writing and animation. Ironic how an app that markets itself as an educational game ended up making me feel like a complete moron. I can’t believe I spent money on this.
Story art style is nothing like the ads, this is classic AI slop. Stay away
Why’s it asking for a review 5 seconds into using it
If you are against AI I wouldn’t get this app. First story with animations is all AI generated. So disappointing. At this rate I’m not sure what else is AI generated in this app 🙄
I would love a way to not do quizzes. It’s a good way to get cliff notes but hate the gamification with quizzes. I just want to listen and learn. Also, I find it jarring that the language is so reductive. The narrations are sometimes really detailed and rich and other times… slang. I was hoping for more.

They keep trying to charge me $69.99 even though I canceled the free trial subscription and deleted my account.
I love the idea. I hate the execution. Waaay to much AI, which makes it feel a bit loveless, and why oh why can I not turn off the quizzes? I want to enjoy history, not go back to grade school.
I was extremely disappointed. The ads showed animations and videos while they narrated the stories, which were very interesting. The app itself only showed some pictures and was nowhere near as interesting as the ads.
I was lured in with an ad on Korea history. It was such a great animation. It’s nowhere near that in the actual app I paid for. Only slop AI videos. Ugh!
I had the worst experience with this app. It didn’t let me cancel the subscription before the free trial was up. The page would just not work. It kept trying to charge my card after trying to cancel it 10 times. I opted to just delete the whole account and it said ALL of my information would be deleted. Two days later when I got paid it charged my card the $69.99. I tried to find a support to talk to and it told me to go through Apple. When trying to request a refund it told me there were no transactions to refund (even though I have an emailed receipted of the charge). I then called Apple support (automated of course) and again, there were no transactions. It wasn’t even difficult to go to the website to cancel it-it just wasn’t working.

I don’t like this app nearly as much as love the ads. The ads are captivating. The animation style and voiceover are intriguing. Every time I saw one on Facebook or Reddit, I wanted to watch the entire thing. I genuinely love them. I learned a lot from them. Yes, they were short, but the style was interesting, and the voice actor was interesting. He had a little pep in his voice, which was intriguing and made me interested and excited. Nothing about the way the stories are presented in the actual app comes close. I can’t stand to get through even one single chapter. The voice actors are harsh. The AI animations are rough at best. The voice actor is dry and angry, and nothing like your ads. I feel lucky that I waited for the sale, but I feel like I’ve been duped for my money. If only the app was even remotely as good as the ads.

Dont even try it! They rob you right away
I’ve emailed them for a refund using their contact email 3 times. Only gotten 1 response of that my user name is but never heard back. support to this App sucks!!!!!!! Only way is to do a charge back.
I found this app through the fun and engaging ads, I decided to give it a shot for a month and see. Waste of money, it’s all AI generated pictures and the writing is so low IQ sounding. Learning can be easy and enjoyable without sounding like we’re in a 2nd grade classroom. In general, I think this is a good idea that just doesn’t have good execution. I’d love to see an improvement with real art and photos and an editor.

What a gift .. watching with my kids … meaningful ..without YouTube or IG…learning
Lost me during the first lesson on Chinese history when it stated the Qin dynasty’s iron weapons were better than their neighboring states which used bronze. Bronze weapons are known to be much stronger. Folks think “Iron Age comes after Bronze Age so iron must be better” but that’s just sloppy pop history and not fully understanding what the collapse of the Bronze Age really meant.

Too many quizzes, I just want to listen to a historical story. Make it so you can opt out of quizzes, other than that it’s great
