It needs work!
We have been using the Parka app while in Iceland and it extremely glichy! Even the Parka machines at Geysir were super glichy! They take a couple times to start working, then when you are ready to pay it just sits there, thinking about it. The app is even worse. I can’t tell you many times I had to restart the app to try to get it to work. Unfortunately, it’s the main parking app in Iceland.

Unscrupulous and unnecessary
Almost every tourist site parking lot has a pay kiosk, making the single-time fees much cheaper than signing up for a monthly subscription. Worse, the vendor is unscrupulous. I canceled my subscription at 1:00 AM on the first day of the month after my trip, and customer service refused a refund, insisting on charging me for the entire month. Save your money and just use the kiosks and pay single time fees if you need to use this app.

Tried unsuccessfully to pay parking with this app
I tried unsuccessfully to pay parking with this app, after selecting English as a language, entering license plate and email address. When prompted to enter the credit card’s information, all boxes were labeled only in Icelandic. ApplePay wasn’t enabled either. Ended up paying through the Parka website through Apple Pay.

Scam. Avoid at all costs
Very difficult to use. I selected a parking lot and a time, didn’t press pay or confirm on anything, and it still charged me over 2000 ISK from the card I had saved. Don’t waste your time with this scam.
Doesn’t work
The app doesn’t work. You can’t add licence plates - you just get a http 401 error message. Don’t use it and get EasyPark if you can
