I never used the printing service since CVS charges like 40 cents for a 4x6 print but this app is truly free for pictures and works perfectly. I’ve done several renewals for me and friends and never had an issue. Still look at the state department guide to know lighting rules but this is a great app.

Best Passport Photo App
I have children and taking pictures of babies and young children for their US Passports is so easy with this app. If you’ve ever tried to get passport baby pictures of your child, you know the struggle is real. It has a guide and you are able to take the picture and save it to your phone. You can print it at home or send it to a photo printer service. I have used this for the past five years and am grateful for this app in making taking passport photos of my children so easy. I’ve tried other apps, but this is the best and easiest to use.

Good try
The app in the way you take a picture is incredibly simple and fast. The problem is when you try to order prints of the picture you just took the app just freezes displaying a wait spinning circle and it essentially freezes and does nothing after that. I don’t know what the problem is, but I wish that developer would fix it as this app is probably one of the easiest wants to use. Now I am forced to use another app to try to get the passport pictures done because I just can’t wait around for a developer to fix a defective app.

Best passport photo creator
I tried several Passport Photo apps and this was the best one. Very easy to use. Printed six 2x2 passport photos on one 4 x 6 at Walgreens for $.40. Be sure and have a good lighting and use a very white background to simplify taking the pictures.
Rejected by Ireland
Passport Online for passport application to Ireland rejected every digital image I submitted using this app. Multiple attempts, all rejected as “too close” or “too far away .”For Ireland digital photos cannot be cropped, enlarged, enhanced or changed IN ANY WAY. Very disappointed.

If I could give 6 stars I could. I’ve used this app to update my passport twice and I really appreciate that it has never been payment locked. The easy UI and download process is great. I recommend this app to all my friends.
All the other apps out there want $20+ for shipping and handling, and are clunky, sketchy, etc. NOT this app, this one is actually made to HELP you and not take all your money.

Used for 4 passports. Works pretty well!
I like how it automatically creates a 4x6 canvas with 2x2 shots on it! I wish that when it exports the 2x2 picture on its own that it would be in the original resolution instead of 600x600. That’s my only complaint.

Perfect app!
I’ve used this twice for my kids. So easy and brilliant, saves so much money. Live that you have option of saving to your phone or emailing it to yourself or anyone else. Self-timer great if you have nobody else to help you. Super user friendly.
Total waste of time
The app continually glitches and stops when I go to order prints. Don’t waste your time.
Just hangs
There are no instructions. I took my picture (there’s an annoying delay by default), then tried to order the printed photos, but at some point it just hanged forever. Tried multiple timed, to no avail.

Great and easy app that’s worth the download. It’s also free if you don’t need to order prints. Use this app to take pics for my family passport renewal. I followed their simple directions and printed my own pictures. Got half our new passports and other half is coming.
Godsend
It was painless, quick and easy to take Passport pictures od my kiddies. If you can follow directions, you are done. I think only rejected pictures are od those who cant read the requirements.
Wow what a time saver!
I did all passport pics thru this app for my family of 5. Easy peasy. I really do not get how some people complain this is not a free app... it looks like they have no idea that you take the picture for free and what you do with it (print on your own or use that app as we did to send them to us) is up to you. I should have use this app long time ago instead of wasting my time and dealing with screaming kids at a local photo studio.

Great app and real results
Not sure why some reviews said it is hard to take a picture or that it is $$$. I did my family of 5 and saved easily on my iPhone, sent it to Walgreens and picked up same day. Cannot wait to go traveling again!

Not all functions work.
Apparently my job is adamant about this app being used for a photo submittal but the “email” function of the app does not work and saving a picture and then emailing that picture through another method resizes the image. Its pretty poor.
