Bait and switch

I tried switching to the 2FAS Pass password manager because I use their 2-factor authenticator app and like it, but I feel deceived that I cannot add more than 200 passwords without subscribing. There is no infrastructure cost to them for me to host and store my own passwords, and they did not advertise this limitation upfront. I feel deceived that I imported my data and started using it, only to encounter this issue.

Worse yet, it is a subscription.

I would be happy to pay a one-time fee to use the app, or even a subscription fee paywall for a sync feature. But handicapping the password manager so deceitfully rubs me the wrong way so badly that I am discouraged from using any of their products, for fear of getting invested in the ecosystem and bait and switched again.

Thank you for the review and feedback.

Thank you for the in-depth feedback! Some of the features you mentioned are already planned, and I'll share the rest with the team. Vielen Dank!

Great App, Missing Features

I love the ethos and design that go into the 2FAS apps. Unfortunately the elephant in the room is no Passkey support, meaning I still have to juggle multiple vaults. Once they support Passkeys I can consider moving to this app long-term.

Response from developer

Thank you for the review! Passkeys are planned and will be coming to the app in the future.

Simple

I like that my passwords stay on my phone and I am not forced to use a cloud service. Great app!
