Wer kennt es nicht, man steht vor dem Snack- oder Getränkeautomaten, hat aber kein Bargeld oder den falschen Schein dabei. Bis eben war genau das mein Problem. Mit Charlie konnte man unkompliziert und schnell den QR-Code am Automaten scannen, die Nummer wählen und das ganze dann per ApplePay oder PayPal bezahlen und schon wurde der Artikel frei gegeben. Keine Anmeldung erforderlich. Einwandfrei, vielen Dank!

funktioniert nicht…

Ich habe mich von einem Verkaufsautomat „überreden“ lassen, die gefühlt hundertste App zum Bezahlen zu installieren - der Automat fürs Frühstück akzeptierte nur Bargeld oder eben „Pay with Charly“. Die gängigen und überall problemlos funktionierenden Standards wie Apple Pay: Fehlanzeige. Also gut. App installiert, alle von ihr erbetenen Rechte eingeräumt, und sie macht - nichts. In Schritt 1 wird der QR-Code des Automaten gescannt. Aber Schritt 2 wird gar nicht aktiv. App Neustarten, neuer Versuch: es bleibt dabei. QrCode wird gescannt, danach bleibt die App hängen. Das war’s dann auch. Ende des Versuchs einer App, deren Sinn wohl auch nur darin besteht, die Gebühren für gebräuchliche Bezahlsysteme für Automatenaufsteller und/oder den Hotelbetreiber zu sparen…
