Tap to pay doesn’t work
Stripe now has this functionality natively
This app might have made sense a year or so ago, but no longer. Stripe’s native app now provides the ability to enter an amount and accept tap-to-pay or card-not-present transactions. Use it and save the additional margin charged by this app. To stay relevant, PayNow needs to add basic POS functionality such as item catalog and prices similar to other POS apps.

So far so good!
As a hobbyist artisan I sell at markets as well as custom orders. With this app I no longer miss out on sales because the customer doesn’t have enough cash on them. I am very happy with it and am confident to recommend it to others.

This is a scam app. It does not have anything to do with PayNow or Stripe. Please do not fall into the trap.
Giving easy options
An awesome app feature that gives you additional pay options without the expenses of a machine. It cannot accept cards that don’t have a CCV and can be a little time consuming being a manual input, however a great alternative to receive payments.

Great in theory, unreliable in reality
Have used this app for 4 markets now and it has got progressively unreliable with each. Unfortunately, it does not seem to accept all types cards from several of the major banks here in New Zealand. At my first market, there were one or two transactions that did not go through and then, yesterday, it did not accept any of the transactions I attempted. Thought the app wasn’t working so tested it out on my own card (different bank) and it worked fine. Too unreliable for me and currently looking at other options.

Latest update has broken it
Can’t even open the app anymore, it scans my face/after typing passcode in it just closes app back to Home Screen.

A great app
This is so great for markets and expos. It would be good to be able to connect to a card reader to speed things up for those really busy times though, or being able to tap and pay using iPhone would also be great. Otherwise love it!
Super App!
Easy as to set up and use! Works seamlessly with our Stripe account. And the near real-time support is pretty good! Just a pity that Apple doesn’t enable the NFC feature for contactless payments. Sankar

Never fails, it just works perfectly every time! I used to use PayPal’s system & it was a bit painful, now I process the payment & the payment hits the bank account within a couple of days!

Works perfectly
Able to login using Stripe credentials. Took about 2 min max to set up. Easy to use and works perfectly. Interface is clear and simple. You can enter data manually or use the ap’s camera feature to take photo of card then card data auto populates. Doesn’t require additional hardware. Transaction reporting shows up in the Stripe dashboard. Great alternative to using hardware like terminal or tap.
