Do not use this app. I can’t believe it’s still on the App Store. They are shut down. App doesn’t work. Customer service number doesn’t answer. Help emails go unanswered and their website is shutdown. They took $200 from me.
stole my gift cards
I store a lot of gift cards more than 1k value in their app and now the app is dead and no way to access it
Any lawyers to sue this company?
App is still up but doesn’t work anymore. Has been a few months. Points are tied up and there is no way to redeem. Will the company vanish from the App Store?
Deleted account
I had so many points in there and they deleted my account and lost everything. There is no customer service and phone numbers are not working. It’s is a scam
They took my money, no refund in site
This was a great app until they shut down for updates in April 2025 and never came back. I have paid them for gift cards and am unable to access the cards and customer service has been unresponsive. If they can’t get thier technical issues worked out, then refund people’s money.
Scam
App is a scam. Login verification text never arrives. I suggest charging back with your credit card if you had unredeemed points. Thankfully I never trusted them enough to hold points.

No longer functional
This app was great when I first discovered it. I do a lot of purchasing on Amazon and getting points for that was a no brainer. It was like free money.
Eventually they removed Amazon as an option and I was super disappointed. I stayed however because they still had other services like GrubHub and Uber that I used.
However now the app is completely unusable. For weeks now, trying to checkout a gift card simply returns a generic “Internal server error.”
I tried contacting customer support but they told me they have no estimate as to when this would be fixed. The app is completely nonfunctional and should be removed from the App Store if they don’t intend on fixing it.

It was good - now it feels scam
I have 230k points I cannot use because rewards are “on hold,” yet the app still takes money. Feels like a scam, not a rewards program.
Spam app
It approved my registration and later deactivated my account without any reason after I did some purchases and I cannot access the gift cards I bought. Customer service never responds.
I don’t see how this app still has four stars
All the reviews have been the same, the app failed months ago. They locked up peoples money, and rewards, and customer service is not responding. The fact that this app still has 4.4 stars, tells me that the reviews aren’t being taken serious or actually affecting its overall rating.
Unable to redeem rewards
For 3 months now, I haven’t been able to redeem rewards. Customer service says “developers are working on updates and will let you know when it is live again.” There is no point in buying these gift cards here if you can’t redeem the reward points. It’s also not a very user friendly app for redeeming the gift cards as you have to go through all transactions and click into each one to see which cards still have a balance. Why can’t they have a section that shows which cards have a balance remaining?

Avoid this app
For the past several months, the Pepper Rewards app has not allowed users to redeem their rewards. Also during that time they’ve had processing problems that prevent you from adding a payment card — which further impedes the ability to earn rewards. They do not respond to customer service inquiries. At best, this app is a poor customer experience. In reality, it’s probably criminal fraud at the point. Do not use this app — you will not get what you’re entitled to from Pepper Rewards.

Will steal your money
Absolutely horrible since they switched to “upgrades.” My card was charged and I was given $100 credit, but it cannot be redeemed since they are still updating the app. It has been three months. Customer service has gone totally AWOL.
Do not install
It used to be one of the best rewards app, but it slowly became horrible and now it’s not usable you can’t redeem your points. You can’t do anything. You can only buy gift cards and supposedly there is an update that was announced a few months ago. Still nothing.
Dead now - was good while it lasted
It was great to get rewards on buying gift cards. But for several months the app is down and I cannot get my money back for the last purchase thankfully, it was only $5 but still annoyng
Hopefully they fix the internal server error issue in the app
I’ve been using pepper/moocho for years, but in the middle of 2025 they had issues with their app. Customer service responded to my email, but I’m still waiting to use my pepper cash and rewards or a refund.
Stole my $
I uploaded money to the app via my credit card. Now I can’t access it, because the app stopped functioning months ago. No communication whatsoever from customer “service .” Total scam.
Disappointment
Download the app this year and then all of a sudden it glitched and you can no longer do transactions; it’s been a few month now I redownloaded it and it’s still not functional. Complete waste of phone space.
Unable to redeem points anymore
Pretty shady that the promotional reward points take a few weeks to post but the app stopped allowing points redemption a few month ago.
