ADDITIONAL Software required before app can be used.
If you’re looking for something simple to control your smart trainer this isn’t it. This requires a windows computer to be operating on the same network and you need to purchase more software than the app before you can use it. Might be good if you own a gym or teach a spin class...
Simple & Effective
Downloaded this the other day and have now used it a couple of times. Wouldn’t work initially but that was because I hadn’t entered the system ID and set the required permissions in PerfPRO studio but once I’d done that I was up and running. The application is simple to use and the options available cover pretty much everything I require to allow me to control things as I go along without having to mess about, I’m running it on an old iPad. So my summary would be that this is an excellent little addition for any PerfPRO user. Of course not essential but nice to have and its a good way of supporting the ongoing development of the PerfPRO package in general which I would recommend to any CompuTrainer user.
Update: I’ve now been using the application for about a week and the initial issue I had getting the app to connect to the system I thought had been resolved by updating the settings, this is not the case. I’m finding that pretty much every use there is a problem connecting the app to PerfPRO Studio and there seems to be no pattern to it. I try several times to connect and it fails and then suddenly it connects for no reason. As you can imagine this is time-wasting and frustrating and I’m probably going to stop using it, I’d rather not bother with something if it’s not going to be reliable.

Worked first time
PerfPro can be some complicated software at times, but this remote works really well, and was easy to set up. The only gripe is that it could do with a way of locking the riders to a screen to avoid any mischief. Lead rider has loads of control and virtually eliminates the need to have a keyboard nearby. Thanks Drew!
