I know one star is harsh, but hear me out.
So there’s always some usability issue with this app. I’m sure the models are great. The first issue was that I wanted to do sprint intervals. I had my headphones in and the Perplexity app open and I want Perplexity to to count for me. It completely failed. It could not do an and do the intervals and what was frustrating was it was so stupid that it totally denied that it had messed everything up
The second was just now that I wanted to pay some tax in and then reference that text in a voice as I was busy I needed to work and wanted to have Perplexity on the side however after pasting the texting and then starting the voice conversation it denied that I had ever pasted the text yet it had given me a full concise answer all I wanted was for Perplexity to read that out and we could start a voice chat. It denied that this had ever happened even though I tried it twice

I was nervous of AI as an older person, and yet Perplexity has made it easy and user friendly! Thank you for opening the door to trustable knowledge. It is grounded and practical at all levels.
It was good now It sucks.
It's very clumsy. I thought it was good in the beginning, but then I started to use Gemini. It is so much easier.

Perplexed for sure
After reviewing many AI companies. I finally decided to try perplexity. Wow. It was really confusing and now I understand the name more.
It seemed to be a constant upsell to use models you would probably want to use. The app was not straightforward to navigate. Will just upgrade ChatGpt

Service is terrible
Not only is the service terrible, nothing in this app works as promised. And to top it off, Apple says my complaint doesn’t meet their standards for a refund. App doesn’t work. But…I still had to pay for it. I think I’m done with Apple too.
Glitch
This app keeps asking me to sign up and repeat my questions after multiple times of asking it not to. It says I’m sorry it won’t happen again but it continues. Please fix the bug or I will be deleting the app

Terrific
I don’t really like the openai and anthropic chatbots due to the corny way they respond. I dismissed them completely and kept looking. Perplexity is the Google of today and I use it very often and always find its answers to be concise, accurate and well sourced.
I really hope their business model lasts and they keep the wonderful system going.

Pro perplexity is not for me.
I was offered perplexity pro while I was using normal perplexity , I thought it was an improvement on normal perplexity which I had used frequently. It wasn’t and it is of no use to me and furthermore I always gets in the way of me doing simple tasks with the initial perplexity I was using. Dare I go on. Now I’ve paid $240.00 for nothing, thanks just telling the truth.

Very low work quota
I don’t know how this app got this much stars perplexity is running on credits and very low quotas if you wanna do something often enough, you need to put a lot of money in credits not worth it
ChatGPT gives me 50 times more quotas for lower price and grok gives me 20 times. Videos don’t work image creation works on very low quota. Performances is inconsistency. Across the board sometimes it’s fast. Sometimes it’s very slow and then you gotta buy credit.
