Great app except for the part tht I need to glue my eyes to my phone screen to see if I need to get off the golf course or not

We use this app on a large construction site and find it invaluable. The personal meteorologist is really cool! This isn’t really for individual users. This is for organizations like schools, golf courses, etc.

How do you get an account? I am assuming that the subscription information will come along once you get an account.

Reviewed several other systems and this was the best we found for our club. From top to bottom - app, hardware and meteorologist support - it is easily the best solution available.

Perry weather is hands down the best weather safety platform on the market. It’s the best way to get all my team on the same page and speaking the same language as it relates to inclement weather and what to do in each circumstance. Great product, great support
We looked at the bigger companies that made the perry weather knock off app, but they look junky and don’t work very well.
Location not working
The locations are not enabled, only getting message that locations are disabled. Tried every possible combination, there simply are no locations that can be set into the program. Thus, there is absolutely no weather information.

Sorry to hear that you are having trouble with the app. Please go to setting on your Iphone, and scroll down to the Pocket Perry app and select it, then select locations at the top and set to always. When you go back into the app you should see a My Location on your locations list. To add a static location please click the + symbol in the top right corner of the home screen of the app. Enter the address you would like to monitor and adjust the setting. Terrible app
This app is terrible. It lost all of my saved locations and now I can’t add anything back in. It’s not sensitive at all when I try to change settings. And it wasn’t sending me alerts even when it did seem to be working properly. I’d give it zero stars if I could. We just installed the weather system at our school. I’m the athletic director. How can I possibly monitor the weather to keep athletes safe using this app with all of the issues? Seems to me like we wasted our money. I hope it gets fixed before fall sports start up in a few weeks.

App No Longer Works with iPadOS 13 Update
This app no longer works since updating my iPad Pro to iPadOS 13. Hopefully they will push out a fix to this very soon because as of this update I can no longer access my data when on the go or away from a desktop computer. Since the update all I get now when opening the app is Error Failed to Perform Initial Setup. Please Try Again.
Also, please allow for viewing of the app in Landscape mode. It currently only allows for viewing in Portrait mode, which isn’t helpful at all when having to switch back and forth between different apps.

Not Suitable To Individuals For Private Use
I had previously used another great lightning tracker app until it was taken off the app store in September 2017. It also required a subscription to use which being a weather geek was never an issue for me. Tracking lightning strikes is an important tool in finding out where I need to film storms while also keeping myself safe. Since that app got removed I have been using a different app which I really do not like. We have thunderstorms in the forecast this Wednesday so I am looking to find a better lightning tracking app. I do not mind paying a subscription and bought this app guessing there would be an in app purchase option for a subscription to use the app. Instead the app ended up directing me to its website. The company who runs this app seems to be gearing their services only to other companies for professional use. So if you are some random guy like me hoping to use the app for private use either as part of pursuing the great hobby of storm chasing or just to warn you and your family of an approaching thunderstorm you are not in luck. Their website does not have any functions to purchase a subscription to use this app but they have a 10 day free trial option for professional use. I do not want a 10 day free trial. Their website seems advanced enough to be capable of listing a subscription price with an “Add to Cart” button next to it. Until then my search continues.

It's great
This is the weather system our district uses for lightning notifications. The app makes it so much easier to monitor incoming weather. The way it displays lightning strikes and the 30min all clear count down makes it easy for informing all admin and coaches when it is safe to resume play.
