Don’t trust model appointments - cancels last minute to get you to pay more, NO REFUND
UPDATE 6/28/25: Persimmon NEVER REFUNDED ME for the appointment THEY cancelled at the last minute to try to get me to pay more. They kept my $149 after promising in writing to refund me within seven business days. I am disputing the charge with my credit card.
This review is just for the model appointments offered at a discount, not the in home service, which I haven’t tried.
While i previously had good experiences, I can no longer recommend booking model appointments with Persimmon. My latest appointment was prepaid, as all their model appointments are. It was rescheduled by Persimmon a few days out, then even more last minute it was cancelled with no refund, only a credit.
When I went to rebook using the credit, I discovered all other available appointments in a similar timeframe cost $100 more! Having scheduled around a trip, waiting three more weeks didn’t work for me. I politely requested that since the abrupt cancellation was on their end, they credit me the additional $100 so I could book an equivalent appointment in the same week as the prepaid appointment they cancelled last minute without a refund.
They refused in a message stating they “valued my support and loyalty” (just not enough to provide the service I prepaid for at any time in the same week I paid for it) and suggested I book the available appointment three weeks away rather than offering an appointment that would still work with my travel plans, even though I had already explained that was not a suitable alternative. They still did not refund my money!
They already raised the price of model appointments by 50% and they try to upsell when you’re in the chair. Now I suspect they are canceling the cheaper model appointments at the last minute to try to get you to book appointments costing an additional $100 by leaving you stuck—either you don’t get your treatment on schedule, you pay an extra $100, or you forfeit money you prepaid for an appointment they cancelled last minute. Obviously most people book cosmetic procedures around social events and won’t want to just wait several more weeks to get them, so I’m sure most people just pay the extra $100, pretty good way to lure people in with one price then charge more!
I guess you get what you pay for, so I shouldn’t be too surprised, but my first few experiences were positive so I unfortunately AM surprised. I guess they must either have had a change in management or they’re having cash flow issues and need to squeeze more money out of the model appointments now.
Either way, I can’t recommend booking as a model if it would be an issue for you to have your appointment canceled without a refund and be unable to reschedule without paying more or waiting a few weeks (with no guarantee the appointment won’t get canceled again if you wait).
