Fountain is fine. Don’t bother with app though.
Poorly designed app
Two people can’t be logged in at the same time so I have to keep logging in and out on phone and iPad. Why???
The app and notifications keep trying to sell you other things. Why can’t I just go to the feeder?
Bricked.
Only use if you don’t need to share the app
Tragic
Stop asking stupid questions!
Second RFID fountain now dead - both lasted less than one year
1 Year Review - August 2026
Then while away we started noticing we suddenly couldn’t schedule or manually dispense any meals. Upon returning home we noticed red/white blinking lights on the Polar Feeders suggestive of a loss of connection to their servers.
Sure enough, after a while they finally posted notifications confirming they were having server issues and promised they would be back up soon.
The major flaw with this product is that it’s totally dependent on your WiFi, the internet, and their servers. If any one of those go out:
YOU CAN’T FEED YOUR PETS!
You’d think there’d be a fallback connection between the Polar Feeder and Petlibro App over local WiFi whenever you’re at home so at least you can still dispense food whenever they can’t reach the Petlibro servers. Nope. No server: No food!
You really don’t need to read the rest of this review if you’re trying to decide whether to buy into their server-based pet feeder system… Our opinion after using them for almost a year? Don’t. (FYI we stopped using both our Polar Feeders over a month ago because they’re so unreliable)
More issues…
⛔️Like others have noted the App is insanely tedious, difficult to read, and overly restrictive.
⛔️ It takes OVER A DOZEN KEYSTROKES if you just want to serve a meal right now!!!
⛔️ The App logging us out after an hour or so. Having to manually re-enter our ID & PWD, each time.
⛔️ Failing to Save scheduled events with the error prompt: “Request timeout please try again later”
⛔️ Multiple Scheduled events appearing with the identical event numbers. (how is that possible?)
⛔️ Polar Feeder opening but there’s no event in progress indicated in the App (how is that possible?)
⛔️ Lack of App support for Apple Watch to dispense food or just opening/closing the feeder via.
⛔️ Annoying in-App ads.
⛔️ Annoying reminders about cleaning trays.
The Polar Feeder has tremendous potential despite its companion App being tedious & annoying, but the final deal-breaker is there’s no Fallback connection letting you connect directly between your iPhone & Polar Feeder when Petlibro’s server goes down or your ISP has an outage.
So after almost a year using this product and experiencing several server & ISP outages and being completely unable to access the feeders to feed our pets, we can no longer recommend purchasing this product.
App ist okay, Kernfunktionen leider nicht top
Trial Subscription Cannot be Cancelled
However the app does not a have an easy way to cancel as the trial subscription does not appear in my Apple subscriptions nor anywhere on the app. The company likely is doing this intentionally to extract dollars from those that don’t have 60 minutes going over every menu in the app to find out how to cancel the subscription.
By the way here is the long procedure, which is not intuitive at all, to cancel the trial subscription: 1)click on bottom right icon labeled “Me”; 2) click feedback; 3) click manage subscription 4) click on weblink Petlibro.app; 5) login with your user name and password; 6) click on the icon that looks like a person; 7) click on billing history; 8) and finally click stop auto-renew. YIKES. This took me over an hour to find since it is not intuitive at all. Those that paid for the subscription would appreciate a law firm to file a class action lawsuit against Petlibro.

Today's outage was mishandled. Be wary of relying on this to feed your pets if you are not home
Doesn’t work as advertised
App going down means your pet isn’t fed.
EVEN WORSE AFTER UPDATE
Normally Fine But
Unfortunately that means that it didn’t dispense any food for 2 consecutive feedings and I had to feed our cat manually.
It’s claimed that it dispenses even if disconnected so long as it has battery, so I don’t know why it has decided to fail completely in the face of a service disruption.
Petlibro Review
If I could go back and not purchase these items, I would. Waste of time, stress and money for products that they charge and arm and a leg for that just stop working.
