Fountain is fine. Don’t bother with app though.

Subscription prices are robbery. App will not calibrate weight of device not matter how many attempts are made.

Poorly designed app

The app only lets you dispense in 12ths of a cup, not 8ths.

Two people can’t be logged in at the same time so I have to keep logging in and out on phone and iPad. Why???

The app and notifications keep trying to sell you other things. Why can’t I just go to the feeder?

Bricked.

What once was a usable and helpful device has become a glorified pet food container. The unit has been unable to connect to its network for a week, and the app is now useless. The company offers zero support. Thankfully, there are other options out there.

Only use if you don’t need to share the app

They have made the process of sharing this with multiple people horrendous. The process they tell you to follow is inaccurate, you can’t even sign in on more than one phone. I assume that helps boost your numbers for ads and stuff.

Tragic

Just a tragic company

Stop asking stupid questions!

Opened the app to make a quick adjustment to my cat feeder. Had to create a full pet portfolio with 100 questions first.

Second RFID fountain now dead - both lasted less than one year

Two dead in less than two years

1 Year Review - August 2026

We were initially happy with the two Polar Feeders we bought when they were first released. Back then they had no server issues and meals could be programmed & served on schedule to our pets while we were away from home.

Then while away we started noticing we suddenly couldn’t schedule or manually dispense any meals. Upon returning home we noticed red/white blinking lights on the Polar Feeders suggestive of a loss of connection to their servers.

Sure enough, after a while they finally posted notifications confirming they were having server issues and promised they would be back up soon.

The major flaw with this product is that it’s totally dependent on your WiFi, the internet, and their servers. If any one of those go out:
YOU CAN’T FEED YOUR PETS!

You’d think there’d be a fallback connection between the Polar Feeder and Petlibro App over local WiFi whenever you’re at home so at least you can still dispense food whenever they can’t reach the Petlibro servers. Nope. No server: No food!

You really don’t need to read the rest of this review if you’re trying to decide whether to buy into their server-based pet feeder system… Our opinion after using them for almost a year? Don’t. (FYI we stopped using both our Polar Feeders over a month ago because they’re so unreliable)

More issues…

⛔️Like others have noted the App is insanely tedious, difficult to read, and overly restrictive.

⛔️ It takes OVER A DOZEN KEYSTROKES if you just want to serve a meal right now!!!

⛔️ The App logging us out after an hour or so. Having to manually re-enter our ID & PWD, each time.

⛔️ Failing to Save scheduled events with the error prompt: “Request timeout please try again later”

⛔️ Multiple Scheduled events appearing with the identical event numbers. (how is that possible?)

⛔️ Polar Feeder opening but there’s no event in progress indicated in the App (how is that possible?)

⛔️ Lack of App support for Apple Watch to dispense food or just opening/closing the feeder via.

⛔️ Annoying in-App ads.

⛔️ Annoying reminders about cleaning trays.

The Polar Feeder has tremendous potential despite its companion App being tedious & annoying, but the final deal-breaker is there’s no Fallback connection letting you connect directly between your iPhone & Polar Feeder when Petlibro’s server goes down or your ISP has an outage.

So after almost a year using this product and experiencing several server & ISP outages and being completely unable to access the feeders to feed our pets, we can no longer recommend purchasing this product.

Trial Subscription Cannot be Cancelled

I signed for a free cloud trial for 7 days and now want to cancel.

However the app does not a have an easy way to cancel as the trial subscription does not appear in my Apple subscriptions nor anywhere on the app. The company likely is doing this intentionally to extract dollars from those that don’t have 60 minutes going over every menu in the app to find out how to cancel the subscription.

By the way here is the long procedure, which is not intuitive at all, to cancel the trial subscription: 1)click on bottom right icon labeled “Me”; 2) click feedback; 3) click manage subscription 4) click on weblink Petlibro.app; 5) login with your user name and password; 6) click on the icon that looks like a person; 7) click on billing history; 8) and finally click stop auto-renew. YIKES. This took me over an hour to find since it is not intuitive at all. Those that paid for the subscription would appreciate a law firm to file a class action lawsuit against Petlibro.

接続解除

接続解除となってしまい、再接続ができない、本体がwifiと繋がらず、ずっと点滅したままです。アプリ側で指示通りに進めてもエラーばかり出てしまいどうにもなりません。。。

Today's outage was mishandled. Be wary of relying on this to feed your pets if you are not home

Today a software update was done and it created an WiFi error on the feeder. They said they the feeders should still dispense food while they were fixing the problem, but my feeder ha not not dispense food during the outage. They were very late getting out notices about the problem, which caused me to waste 2 hours this morning trying to figure out the problem. When it works this is a great product but Petlibro can't be sloppy like this when pets can suffer.

Doesn’t work as advertised

Petlibro has had a global outage for multiple days now. One of the selling points of these pieces of junk is that even if the power or WiFi go out, your feeder will continue to dispense food as scheduled. According to the three starving cats I woke up to this morning, that was a lie. Their customer service is completely nonexistent and they think I’m going to pay $72 to return their nonfunctional garbage

App going down means your pet isn’t fed.

The fact that their servers are the only way some feeders can get food to your pets is ridiculous. If you’re reading this and you have just downloaded the app, and you’re within the return window, return it. Tens of thousands of pet owners have been unable to feed their pet with this device for the past two days.

EVEN WORSE AFTER UPDATE

STOP UPDATING THE APP!!! WE DO NOT NEED AI IT IS MAKING IT WORSE. I CANNOT CONNECT MY DEVICES. PLEASE YOU ARE AN AUTO WETFOOD FEEDER NOTHING ELSE, LEAVE IT ALONE!

Normally Fine But

Worked great for months. Then decided that it didn’t, looks like there was a service disruption.

Unfortunately that means that it didn’t dispense any food for 2 consecutive feedings and I had to feed our cat manually.

It’s claimed that it dispenses even if disconnected so long as it has battery, so I don’t know why it has decided to fail completely in the face of a service disruption.

Petlibro Review

I've spent over $1500 on their products, and not one of my FIVE devices work. When I call customer support, I'm told there are no agents available, that I need to leave a message and and I will hear back within 48 hours. Is it reasonable to ask my pets to go 48 hours without access to their food or clean litter? Absolutely not! Unacceptable!

If I could go back and not purchase these items, I would. Waste of time, stress and money for products that they charge and arm and a leg for that just stop working.

❌❌HORRIBLE APP❌❌

Latest update has bricked both feeder and water fountain completely. Threw them both in the trash. Do yourself a favor and AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!

Buyer Beware!

The automatic feeders rely on the Petlibro service to dispense food and will quit working if it goes down. It’s been so for days. Terrible design!

Terrible

I have had nothing but problems with this app and my devices. I have reached a point where I cannot get anything to connect despite trying every single troubleshooting method I can find. I now have two very expensive pieces of trash. Petlibro really needs to step up the quality of this app and their products. It’s unacceptable.
