Not working
I just got an email from Petro-Canada saying that my points are going to expire if I don’t use them. So I reinstalled the app to see what points I have… But all it does is tell me that the app can’t load, and to try again later. I will try a few more times before abandoning my points.

Do not waste your time with this nonsense. App does not work. Disables your password when you try to login. I’ve moved on to a gas station with an app that works

Turn off dual authentication
I already login using my Face ID, you don’t need to also send a code to my email to let me use the app. The other gas station apps don’t do this.

Two apps listed with same name but different screen pics. Both apps downloaded and installed when i took a guess at which one l wanted. Only one icon on screen. Created an account. Then got the error msg above. Tried again, uninstalled and selected other choice. Same error msg. Wasting my time here. Uninstalled. Enjoy!

2FA needs other options
Everytime I go in line for a car wash I need to wait for the 2FA code which takes time to come in and doesn’t always work on first try. Allow us to use our own one time password apps.
Frustrating app
Tried to sign up for petro points let me complete the sign up process but won’t let me sign in. Keeps saying oops something went wrong on our end try again later and I can not ask for help as I don’t know my petro points number. Little frustrating
Stupid Dual Factor Auth
Why the hell would you make this app sign the user in through dual authentication, even after Face ID SO OFTEN? Do you want your users fumbling around in line having to go to their email to get the code to paste into the app? What a dumb process! People want to scan their card and go! Fix it!
Doesn’t save payment method
I have to re-enter my payment details every time I get gas. What’s the point of this app?

Petro Canada won’t let me sign into my account or reset my password but keep emailing me offers. Please cancel my account
Broken App
I have points in the app that I can redeem but app hasn’t worked in over 3 months for me. Every time I try to log in it says “Something went wrong” and it’s so annoying. Deleting app and never going to Petro Canada again. Shell is better folks
Unusable at the gas station
After an update several months ago the app will not work without WiFi. When on cellular it crashes while opening. After a lengthy call with Petro-Canada tech support they were unable to resolve and said they would email me something to collect more information (they never followed through). I can collect points with the barcode stored in my Apple Wallet but redemption is only possible after fighting for a WiFi connection near the pump.
If collecting/redeeming points is the deciding factor for where you fuel up, you may be better off looking at other options.

This app is so convenient and easy to redeem points and in my opinion is the gold standard for gas station loyalty points system.

Laggy and sluggish. Menus scattered all over the place. Always nags about location services being off. Login is a nightmare. Reloading card is impossible. Always something broken. “Call us for support”, NO! I’m not going to waste my time calling because your app sucks! FIX YOUR DAMN APP!!!
