poor usability
I came here to tell you that this App is very annoying. I got it to replace Skype and paid around 100 dollars for a lifetime membership but the app has bad bugs. it drops call very often and when you are overseas and waiting on hold to pay a bill or for cust. service it’s super frustrating. also you cannot send text messages!! only recieve unless you are a business. I don’t recommend it and advise finding a better alternative. The developers of this app need to make it much better

Cannot Text — Company won't help.
In order to text anyone, you have to fill out a form that must be approved. I filled out my form, waited months, then it just disappeared as if I'd never submitted it. The company was zero help when I reached out about this. In fact, they were rude. So, it's been absolutely useless for me, since texting was the reason why I wanted it in the first place. 👎👎

The connection is so bad even with excellent internet. I have a mesh system and it’s working really well. The texting only works sometimes…it’s down again today and I can’t send or receive texts. I needed to use this for my business and mistakenly paid for the year in full. BIG mistake…even though I requested a refund 8 days after paying in full, they refused it. They won’t even switch me to monthly for a partial refund. They said my issues do not “qualify” for a refund.

Nothing works
Constantly drops calls. Receives voicemails that you can’t listen to due to an error. Missed texts. Difficulty receiving photos and no videos. Losing service for days. Basically NOTHING works right.

This app did not work as advertised for my use case. While it may receive some SMS messages, it does not reliably support two-factor authentication, especially for banking and other secure services.
When I requested a refund due to these limitations, it was denied. The response focused on technical details rather than the fact that the service did not meet the expectations set by the advertising.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend this app for important or security-sensitive purposes. I suggest using caution before paying.

Dropped calls
There’s a delay when you answer a big delay. There’s also sound quality and dropped calls. Lately every single call that comes in is dropped.
Horrible quality in customer service and for the app
Calls drop constantly and the quality is so poor. I tried to cancel my subscription only an hour into using the service for the first time and it took them a MONTH to respond to my email. Horrible, horrible, horrible all around. I will never recommend them. It’s laughable how bad it is. It’s a big money grab. Look elsewhere!

Doesn’t work
Don’t get this service if you want a functioning phone that makes and receives calls. 2FA is blocked all the time too. I’ve had it for 6 months and it never works properly. Not 1 phone call has worked.
99% calls drop
Impossible to communicate. Calls continuously drop - trying calling got days and no luck.
It’s just terrible
The calls are basically not coming through, it says that the signal is lost which doesn’t make sense because I have a high speed Internet and my phone was literally 40 inches from the router with no VPN or even hidden my ip address or anything like that. If I can receive calls with this, then this is absolutely useless.

Great for getting 2FA text codes
The call quality could be better. However, it’s great for getting your 2FA codes.
Good alternative after Skype
Pretty straightforward alt-phone service. Does what I need it to do in terms of receiving bank alerts.

Improving service
Initially the service disconnected during the conversation. That seems to have stopped. Good clarity in calls. My Stateside friends appreciate a local number to call.
Good UI, probably best pricing of all VOIPs out there, but support does not exist.
Update: 10/26/25: most calls drop when trying to answer. Highly NOT recommended as main business phone number.

Even though support never reached back to me, but on Day5 incoming calling is now working finally again so i’ll update review to 4 stars.
Will also add one big drawback that its not possible to add line breaks when sending a text message. No idea why that is but hopefully they can fix it!

Day 3 and I am still not able to receive a single call! Outgoing works okay but whats the point if I cant receive any calls. Their support is awful and no way to get a response from anyone at the company. So far waste of money, about to file a chargeback unless someone gets back to me…

Great app for expats
I’m an American living in Italy and for years I used Skype to make unlimited calls to the United States as well as have a San Francisco phone number that people in the US could call me and it would ring to my Italian cell phone.
Well, Skype is no longer, but I’ve signed up for Phone2 and it works just as well as Skype for making phone calls and I was able to convert my San Francisco number over so that that still continues to work. What I like even more than Skype is the fact that I can now use this phone number to receive like bank approval codes and other services where they need to send you a confirmation code via SMS.
My only gripe is it takes forever to get approval to reply to messages if you are a business.

Much improved recently and works well for Two-factor authentication (2FA) with my US bank accounts!
