Worst App
Worst 1st experience. Sticking with Checkers60
This was my first time using 'ASAP', placed an order at 2pm, app said my delivery would be between 4-5pm. At 4:30pm I check for an update and it says 'delivery tomorrow morning 8-8:45 am'. Called customer service 3 times, no one has called back/responded. Sent an email, zero response.
Going back to Checkers60.
Could this be the worst shopping app that has ever been made?
1. At least 30% of the time items shown as in stock are not in stock. Because the app does an immediate credit card charge rather than an authorisation (which professional apps do), out of stock items require a refund. Which would be ok if they worked.
2. Refunds to (my) card don’t work and so they issue a voucher (days later). The only way to redeem this is via this app, so one gets trapped in an endless loop of having to use the app. Even if card refunds did work, because they are refunds, it can take days to get your money back.
3. Substitutions also don’t work. There is no apparent way to engage in a substitution process via the app even though the app sends a notification. Per point (1) - given the poor stock management, this really should work.
4. Driver tracking also doesn’t work. The map shows the driver marooned at the store, while in reality he is outside your gate trying to get in
In short, this app is a great example of how not to build a shopping app. It does everything wrong and makes shopping more of a lottery than the sure thing you need.
Perfect Execution
Pick n Pay can’t deliver proper online shopping
When it works, great, when they short deliver, you’re on your own
They short delivered my last order, which I understand as mistakes do happen.
It’s what happens then that is disappointing.
The customer care line never answers.
The message is that they are experiencing very high call volumes.
To me, that means they are messing up extremely, hence the very high calls and they are under resourced to cope with it.
I’ve messaged them several times, left a voice message on their system where it assures me that they will call back.
To date, no response.
How to turn a good proposition into a bad one.
Asap app
Only alerted of out of item stock after ordering not before when selecting items(as in Sixty/60)
Can’t see live shopping being done as in Sixty60.
Progress of order difficult to follow. No delineated steps given as in Sixty60
Delivery was done in 60 minutes though.Big improvement on past
Some way to go for this app before it is on par with Sixty60
