Junk

The treadmill, although early days, appears to work well. This software on the other hand is in my humble opinion an absolute pile of junk! Buy a plan, work with others, buy more products etc etc. I stick with the software I have.

Just a big F-U for the forced download

All I wanted to do was turn on the walking pad (Deer run Q2). But the pad will only operate after you’ve been forced to download this app and create an account.

Response from developer

"Sorry to hear that you had a frustrating experience. We strive to make our app convenient, not intrusive. Can you try restarting your device or checking your app permissions? If issues persist, please contact our support team for assistance."

Courses (Trainings)

I’m using PitPat version 4.20.0 on iPhone. I love the guided Course library (Running, Walking, Stretch, Muscle, etc.), but I can only access it after starting and ending a workout, then tapping “Go to stretch.” Could you please add a Courses or Training button on the Home screen so users can browse workouts without starting a run? Thank you!

dumbest AI ever

How complicated and unhelpful. first review ever just to say they insist on taking over control of the speed.

Why are you forcing the AI voice coach and smart pace?

After spending quite a bit of time trying to find a way to disable voice coach and smart pace I couldn’t find any setting to turn them off. I like those features but there are times when I simply don’t want that guidance. More importantly even after disabling them during a workout smart pace is still reactivated on his own. for example I was running at 2.2 km/h and after a couple of minutes, it automatically reduced my speed to 1.1 km/h which was really frustrating. Please add a clear option to permanently enable or disable this feature, maybe within the setting area, giving userr control over voice coach and smart pace would make the app much better.

Awful behavior on PC

There was no way to turn off the notifications while my phone was charging on my laptop. I deleted the app. Dumb behavior. Have a good day and good luck to all of you with your workout goals. This wasn’t for me.

AI slop

I had to download and sign up for this awful app to use the treadmill I bought, which was not a fact that was made obvious when I purchased it. It forces you to download the pit pat app and sign up for an account to activate your warranty, which in turn activates the walking pad of the treadmill. Super predatory and the app just seems like a bunch of AI slop and wants to connect with all of your personal information. They say you can call the 800 number if you don’t have a mobile device but they still make you give away personal info to use your treadmill. I just can’t find anything useful in this app and the counts it gives do not actually seem accurate.

Full of ads doesn’t sync with Apple health & fitness apps

It gets two stars because it is able to control the speed of my treadmill. However, it’s full of so many ads and competitions that I almost don’t want to use the app. Also, I can’t find a way to cleanly sync with Apple health.

AI ridden and hard to navigate

This app came with a treadmill i bought off of amazon, and while I like the actual functions of activity tracking and projecting an avatar alongside other users, it has random games, tons of Ai-generated images, and gambling for some reason. Additionally, it’s difficult to navigate and every page feels crowded with text or designs.

App is ok

Lots of junk in the app. It also has so much going on and constantly plays music and/or sounds that sometimes shutoff and sometimes don’t.

Required

Treadmill said I was required to get this app for a warranty. Full of AI garbage that I don’t care to see. Would delete if I could.

Little of Everything, A Lot of Nothing

I really wanted to like this app, but after a month of using it, I’ve decided it is hot garbage.

It tries to have hundreds of useless features like games, leaderboards, community posts, and its interface feels cluttered and overwhelming.

I bought the treadmill to do one thing; walk while I work… and instead I’m constantly receiving messages from other users, being disconnected mid workout (and loosing hours worth of progress), and what’s worse is when I turn off Bluetooth, it prompts me to turn Bluetooth back on every couple of seconds - even when the treadmill is off, and the app is closed!

I don’t want games, chats, in person events…. I just want a clean user interface that is smooth and bug free. That shouldn’t be too much to ask for.

No support doesnt connect

Some days the treadmill decides to pair to my phone but 9/10 times it will not customer support unfortunately keeps ready my messages replying once or twice then they stop assisting so idk kind of frustrated very disappointed the app needs to be more consistent with its connection

Awful

The app is cheaply made and full of adds and other junk. It is not user friendly. It’s also not accurate

Ehh it’s okay

The app has good intentions. It can be good motivation however, when I sign up for a race with a prize I’m constantly disqualified. The support team is of no help. When walking freely, I have no issues with connection or walking so it’s only when in a race.
The app is fine but don’t expect assistance if your DQ from a race. You also don’t know you’re disqualified until after you finish it too which is frustrating.

Glitchy and overloaded

I love my walking pad but this app has been nothing but trouble and a headache. First the minor issue: the interface is awful in terms of intuitive navigation. It’s so junky and app information overload regardless of where you are in the app. The major issue: SAFETY! Using the app for Free Walk is a joke when the Smart Pace feature continually engages without user input. Want to walk at a pace you set? Not with this app. Beware and be watchful.

Good product, weird app

The walking treadmill works well but I’m using this while I work. I don’t need all these weird options in the app. And I certainly don’t need it to speak to me. I’m not sure the app is relevant for the average customer using it. It has to be fast and simple to use and understand.

Response from developer

"Thanks for the feedback. We'll take your input into consideration for future updates. Simplified navigation and more straightforward controls are on our radar. We'll also explore alternative notification options. Your input is valuable to us."

Always crashes

Every single ride, it crashes and stops recording after a few miles.

Chronic Tech Bugs

I’ve never written a review on the App Store before but that’s how frustrated I am with the chronic tech bugs in this app. It’s gotten to the point where it’s hard to trust that it will count my running stats. I’m about to delete the app. Why keep wasting my time and energy on running events that error out on the regular? They’re a great motivation when they work but there is CHRONIC tech issues that render the app less useful.
There seems to be only one point of contact person for troubleshooting these problems which delays things significantly (to be fair, he’s a very nice person but does not make up for slow to fix issues). I’m going to stick with them for about a month to see if things get better. There’s only so much I can rage quit this app before it starts affecting my mental health istg
