Great tool for Pixel Art
My Favorite Pixel App So Far
Overlooked
Pixaki is perfect for development it just gets spoken about less because most people aren't using the software any more than the treadmill they bought so they parrot opinions from echo chambers.

Best pixel art app
I want to like this app…
The animation feature often results in discrepancies in the artwork, where the animation that’s playing shows one thing, but the layer editor shows another. The select tool is also unintuitive, because you have to “confirm” a selection by switching to another tool before it will actually be pasted where you want it.
Besides that, copy/pasting stuff between files and working on multiple files is such a slog that it’s almost unbearable, though that is partly an iOS problem so I can’t be too hard on them for that.
Another breaking bug is that new files just won’t show up properly, so i have to close and reopen the app any time i want to work on a new file. For a paid app, that is just totally unacceptable. If the devs ever fixed these bugs, this would be a 4 or 5 star review, because other than that the app is great. But as-is it is barely functional.
Broken file management
Useful, but buggy
Poubelle
Corrupted all saves when I upgraded
First Time, it’s Decent
I recognize this app is made by a solo dev so you have to give them some slack, and other than this issue the app is great so far.
Pate keyframes
I need a brush for tiles to draw levels
buggy
Very solid pixel art app
Toujours un plaisir
It’s still ok
Buggy
Lacks features, no updates in years
- no shade tool (like in Aseprite)
- no magic wand selection
- importing new palettes is unnecessarily cumbersome (can't import from photos, have to use some special format and import from files)
- changing the size of created sprite is a pain: you have to drag the borders instead of simply entering the size you need to resize the image
- no updates in years. There are far better alternatives on the store right now.
I know it is developed by a single dev but it doesn't justify the greediness and laziness.
