Love this little app!
This is an app I’ve had on my iOS devices forever, it does one thing, and it’s one of the most useful, frequently-used apps I’ve got. Absolutely wonderful. It’s a throwback to the old days when apps were more one-dimensional, and I absolutely love that this one is still here, supported, and not trying to become something more (and therefore keeping its delightful simplicity)!

Super useful app
I use this app ALL the time.. Thank-You to the developer / creator of this simple and useful app!
Works as it should
No issues, i keep this app running on the background and its very easy to (multitask) swipe using Magic Keyboard between 2 apps to remove Format.
Flawless
Finally a solution to get rid of the text formatting in IOS. Thank you to whoever developed this.
As advertised
I needed the equivalent of Notepad for Windows, which cleans out all formatting. It did precisely that. I like appliances that are designed for one single purpose rather than Swiss Army Knives.
Best app ever!!!
This is easily one of the most useful apps ever, the price can't be beat.
Brilliantly simple
This has to be the simplest app I have ever used. Only one function but it is EXACTLY the function I need over and over again in my work day. Copy text in one app (usually a PDF), click PlainTextPaste and it strips the formatting and places the unformatted text on the clipboard. Shift over to the destination (in my case, usually MSoft Office) and paste. Perfect simplicity. Many thanks.

Does exactly what I need it to do
I’ve been looking for a quick and simple way to get rid of formatting for workflows that involve me copying and pasting text between apps on my iPhone. This does the job in a no-frills way. I’m giving 3 stars because there were no instructions or onboarding help to understand how the app works, which is a big omission because it took me a little while to figure it out. Developers: you did the work, the app works well, you’re charging for the app, put some extra work in helping customers understand what to do quickly and easily. Thank you for your work!

How to Use This App
I think I can clear up some confusion here. When people say “there’s no menu” and “the app doesn’t do anything,“ they are partially correct. There AREN’T any menu options, which can be frustrating when you’re used to seeing something like “OK“ or “Cancel.” But that’s sort of the beauty and the “flaw“ of this app: It appears that it really doesn’t do anything, because it doesn’t require user intervention. In that sense, it’s an unusual app because it doesn’t work the way most other apps do. So what does it do?
You copy some text from another app, maybe text that has stuff like web addresses or text formatting, or whatever, and all you want is the Plain Text to paste into a different app, but without all the other “crap“ loaded up and altering the text. You only want the words, not the font color or the directions to the address that’s embedded into whatever you’re trying to copy.
Step 1: copy text that includes formatting that you want to get rid of.
Step 2: run Plain Text Paste. DO NOTHING ELSE WITHIN THE APP! DO NOT LOOK FOR BUTTONS TO PRESS! DO NOT SCROLL! DO NOT POKE ABOUT! Simply run the app.
Step 3: go to the other app in which you want to paste the text (but without all the formatting), tap the screen and choose Paste. The end.
The “problem“ with this app is not that it doesn’t do anything, it’s that what it does, it does so well, that most people don’t realize what it’s actually doing. There are plenty of other text apps that will do exactly what this app does, and for free, but then you would have to paste the text within the app, choose Select All, and then choose Copy. This app reduces the other extra steps. In fact, it removes ALL steps except simply running the app. if you have text on the clipboard that you want to get rid of to “start over,“ you’ll have to go back to the original text and re-copy it. There’s no “flush clipboard“ option, and maybe there should be.
Kudos to the developer for this app, but please update the instructions.

Works fine
Just downloaded it. Can cut and paste text and it strips the formatting out as advertised.
Works Great
This app solves a persistent problem which I share with the other users: how to get rid of formatting designed for another purpose when I just need the text. It does the job! Thanks!
Indispensable
A tool that does exactly what I need, without it I couldn’t use my iPad for specific tasks which means giving up the small form factor and LTE access from anywhere. A real lifesaver for me.
Simple, effective, fills an iOS gap
This app is lightweight and elegantly fills a need for reliable plain text on an iOS device.
Thank you for developing a focused app that does its job without unnecessary bells and whistles.

Got it for Gmail, doesn't work
Text still pastes with format and my emails still look crazy on a desktop. Waste of money.
Response from developer
I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble with the app. Which app are you copying text from, that is causing the issue? Please send an email to hello@appdimensions.com
Beautiful, simple, brilliant
Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Be liberated from the tyranny of rich text forever!! This app is a thing of beauty, and makes up for a big oversight in iOS. Select-copy all your text, (formatting chaos and all), select-share to the app, then simply paste the scrubbed version wherever you need it. You don’t even need to open the app. Apple: take note!!!

It works!
Perfect for pasting text into Mail app.
What about a quick copy button ?
Useful app, does what it say’s. Would benefit from a quick copy button so you don’t have to reselect Text and copy again once you finish your edits.
Great app!
Thank you so much for this app. I wish iOS would just do this by default, but since that’s not the case I’m grateful that we have this. I like the new 2018 feature too. Using the Share dialog to invoke Plain Text Paste is brilliant!
Little annoyance saver
Easy, straight forward. Thanks a lot.
Doesn't convert in iOS 10+ Mail
The clipboard contents (YouTube URL) shows up in the app, but when I copy and paste it into an e-mail message, the server rejects it as multiparty/converted content. Any ideas?

Still does not allow me to paste text into the e-mail app as plain text. Still getting the same error from the server. I guess it's time to give up on it. Nice try, though.
