Used to love this app
I try not to take Instagram too seriously but always appreciated having a place where I could curate my aesthetic - which led me to Planoly in the first place. I’ve used Planoly for years - always seeing what photos work best on my feed before uploading. The new update was recently released and it won’t let me re-connect my Instagram account because I don’t have a “professional” account. Instagram has always been a fun app for me and some of us don’t want to constantly grow or monetize off the photos that we decide to post to document our lives. Disappointing to see Planoly seemingly disregard the non-business/corporate users of their app. Other features, like the folders section is totally changed and no longer helpful as it no longer displays photos in a grid formation with three photos per row. I also saw that you can integrate ChatGPT into the app? Awesome. Another AI integration that only corporations asked for. I’ve never reviewed an app before, so for me to do this is very abnormal, I guess I’m just frustrated because I truly loved this app for so many years and I feel locked out now.

Avoid at all costs
I’ve used this app for over 5 years. I’m a social media manager so I have 4 social media accounts on this app. They hadn’t made any updates for over 3 years, a lot of features were outdated. They just did a huge update and it lost all of my draft posts that I’ve put months of work into for all of my accounts. Even before this, anytime I had an issue with a glitch on their site or app, they take over 24 hours to get back to you, and never solve your issue. This has happened multiple times over the last few years. Terrible service, the reason I hadn’t switched services is because I had everything already uploaded into their system. I guess it will be easy to find another service now, since they deleted all my data and drafts in their horrible update. It’s also very expensive compared to other systems out there. Honestly, terrible.
I’ve used this app for years, always facing frustration with countless issues. The single benefit that made me keep it was the ability to visually plan multiple feeds within one app by using the drafts folders. It was extremely handy and made up for all of the other shortcomings of the app. I’ve just had to update to the new version to continue using the app and the new interface not only wipes this entire option, but has essentially thrown away all of the ongoing feeds that I’ve been meticulously building for years. I now have to work out how to download all the media I’ve uploaded and spend hours, if not days, re-organising it by memory in another platform. I’m really disappointed and to be frank, shocked, that they would implement these changes without warning their users of the implications to their existing work.

Aesthetic over experience design
The newest update of this app has its benefits, but I find it more difficult to navigate than ever - with more clicks necessary along the way. Please return the ability to select posts and delete, coming from someone who often adds multiple photo options.
New update not good
The new PLANOLY update is terrible. You can barely see the grid because of the huge “Draft” and “Posted” labels, and deleting a post now requires five additional clicks. The previous version was far more user-friendly. Please let me know if there is an option to switch back to the old layout.
App changed, no longer usable for main function
They’ve replaced the published/unpublished icons with obstructive boxes with words and colours, so the ability to plan out a cohesive or aesthetic feed is gone. Not clear on the new function but it has completely moved away from its original use. Such a disappointing change

App used to be great but ofc they changed things now I can’t access my Instagram because it’s “linked to another account” but you didn’t used to have to need an account to just link your ig and use the app 😒
Will not connect to accounts
I download planoly every year and i run into the same issue every time: it will not connect to my facebook account. It just keeps saying “error try again later” Its basically unusable for me.
Fix collaboration posts!
I’ve used Planoly for my photography business for years, and have always liked it. But they need to find a way to fix the error of “import missing grid posts” glitching and not working for collaboration posts. It renders the grid planning almost useless when you can’t at least have a placeholder in those spots, let alone the real image. Please do something and fix this!!!

Full of bull!
This app is a scam, it doesn’t do anything and it’s constantly glitching…
They delete comments and your data even if you’re a paying customer
I’ve been a paying customer for a long time and I looooved the app. I used it for everything. They IG feed planner and I put hours of my life into it. They deleted everything in one day. Hours of my work. No help from customer service and they delete hundreds of comment on their social media pages. I’m going to use Scroll and Planoly instead

Terribly Glitchy
Trying to link my account, hitting fix and nothing happening. Tried multiple times. No interest in an app that doesn’t work, I want to be able to set everything up the first time w it out having to contact support and wait days
Cover photos are a mess
Starting using this app last month and unfortunately it cannot properly load your instagram cover photos correctly. On desktop there’s an option to change your cover photo, but it crashes whenever you click it. Super disappointing. I hope they fix this asap

Glitchy
It glitches everyday. The stats don’t work. I have to find workarounds to get basic things done (like adding to a carousel).
Terrible Experience
This app allowed me to upload and plan all my posts for the next year, around 30… and deleted them all then disconnected my instagram and swapped it for a new one I had just made that was completely unrelated my my MAIN account I was planned posts for.
I connect my instagram to 100s of sites and apps with no issues, but no with Planoly, you can plan on not only wasting your time but not being able to do a simple account link I could do 15 years ago.

Won't link
I have downloaded this app so many times to use, but I can't get it to comment to any of my social media accounts. I've tried different accounts, none of them work. Can't use the app at the first instance

Compliqué à prendre en main. Je teste sans abonnement, impossible de comprendre quels sont les atouts de l’application, impossible de programmer une story sans devoir upgrade mais je ne sais pas si je peux avoir de la musique sur ma story, ni même comment la story va s’afficher… bref, ça refroidit. Je continuerai à fouiller pour comprendre mais pour l’instant j’ai l’impression de vraiment perdre mon temps.

Not worth it
The app itself was wonderful when It worked. However half the time it refuses to post and if you choose to cancel you will charged no matter what. I have went into both my Apple account and my Planoly account and cancelled it. Both confirmed my account was cancelled and I was still
Charged for the plan. I will not be using this app again as it has hit my bank account twice after cancellation. I would give zero stars if possible.
