What's New in Plinky

6.0.3

June 13, 2026

So many bug fixes that include: - A complete rewrite of tracking a person’s subscription state, to ensure they don’t see any unnecessary upgrade pop ups. - Reliability improvements across Shortcuts, sync, browser extensions, many parts of the app. - Exporting your links in CSV, HTML, and plain text has been improved — including a new JSON export option that provides richer link details. - A fix to Sign in with Apple not always working in Plinky’s Safari extension. Before this update: Introducing Plinky 6 — Plinky For Mac! Plinky 6 is the biggest update yet — bringing Plinky to your biggest device. The Mac app is here, and it's everything you love about Plinky, built natively for macOS. But I didn't stop there. All of the Mac upgrades have been brought to your iPad too, with dozens of thoughtful refinements across every device. THE MAC APP IS HERE Designed to feel right at home on macOS 26, the Mac app brings your links, folders, tags, reminders, and pins to the desktop — with a truly native experience. Keyboard shortcuts, proper window management, cleaner menus, and an interface that feels like it belongs on your Mac. A BIG UPGRADE FOR IPAD Plinky's iPad experience takes a major step forward too. A redesigned sidebar is cleaner and easier to navigate. Keyboard shortcuts let you jump quickly between All Links, Unsorted, Archived, Reminders, and Untagged. And an upgraded save screen on both iPad and Mac lets you add folders, tags, reminders, and pins as you're saving a link. FOLDERS & TAGS, REFINED Creating and editing folders and tags has been streamlined with a unified editing experience. Customize names, icons, and colors all in one clean screen. Pinned folders and tags are now easier to scan too, thanks to clearer groupings and a less cluttered layout. MORE IMPROVEMENTS & FIXES - A redesigned macOS Settings screen. - A beautiful new sidebar and cleaner lists across the app. - Visual polish everywhere, with cleaner typography, colors, and animations. - Fixes for sync, saving, and a long list of smaller touch ups. SAY HI Love Plinky? Have ideas? Found a bug? I (Joe) would love to hear from you!

Hi Joe, I’ve been using the Plinky app and find it very useful for saving personalized social media links to view later. However, I noticed that the TestFlight trial version didn’t require security authentication with my iCloud account. I would like to suggest that in a future update you include the option for Google authentication. This way, I could use the app without needing to enable two-factor authentication on my iCloud account, which I prefer to avoid for personal reasons. Thanks for your attention and for creating such a handy app

No Love for Chrome/Windows

Unfortunately, most people use a world outside of MacOS for various reasons. Even more unfortunately, Plinky devs don’t feel it’s prudent to access/view Plinky links anywhere but in the Apple ecosystem. You can SAVE a link with a Plinky extension for Chrome - but you will not access anything, including what you just saved, from Plinky in Chrome or otherwise on Windows. It’s a very big world outside the Apple ecosystem and the devs just don’t seem to care about supporting that world.

Response from developer

Hi there, just wanted to follow up on the conversation that we had on Bluesky! It's not that I don't want to ship an Windows or Chrome version, it's that I haven't gotten around to it yet as I build other features people have been asking for such as an offline reader mode, a native Mac app, permanent archives, full text search, highlights, the ability to upload your own files and much more! I very much have it in my plans to make a web app that people can access from any device, but unfortunately there isn't a team of developers here — it's just me — one guy! Promise that your request hasn't gone unheard, but there's a lot of work to do to make everyone happy and I'm trying my hardest to do as much as I can as fast as I can.

Nope

Doesn’t work. Simple as that.

Response from developer

Hi there, I’m so sorry the app didn’t work for you. Would you mind emailing support and helping me figure out what’s not working for you? That’s definitely not expected, there are thousands of people who are using the app perfectly fine and loving it, so I’d love to help! You can open the app and go to Settings and tap Contact Support, I would truly love to help make Plinky work and work well for you.
