Addicting but buggy

I’m fully addicted to this game and I don’t get addicted to many. I like that this is a city builder but you can also roam around the city in a limited way. The game is a bit better on PC but that’s probably to be expected. The iPhone version is a bit buggy — sometimes the hours just stop passing and the city seems stuck in stasis (the demands bars don’t change, etc.), or the “Visit” button doesn’t appear when I tap on a building you can visit. But these are just minor annoyances, I restart the game and it’s usually fine again.

This is a great game

Update: they resolved the bug within the week of release, thank you

I think this game is amazing, except for a few bugs, one of which being that I can’t change between regional cities, which is a big issue for me, I’d really like to change cities for once.

I'm happy to let you know this bug has been resolved if you update to the latest version! Happy city building!

Updates that I think you should!

I really do like this game, but you need to add more like add to building like the airport, and could have some curvy roads and roundabouts as well, and and make it where you can make a multiple lane road instead of just 2 and need a way where you can change the way the floor level so you can put 2 roads in one place like one on top of the other without them touching. If that makes sense something like skylines 2!

Good City Game, Repetitive Quests

I love the game and its many unique features, including the ability to visit your city in-person. However, the quests are very repetitive; with many of them involving some kind of disaster to the city (which is fun, but predictable and boring after awhile). The game needs fluctuation and vibrant life to stay fluid in its AI to keep the person engaged when it comes to the quests and how they are given based on the cities progression, growth and the overall characteristics of the map, play-style-etc. I just think that it should be more unique than simple: survive a tornado, survive a flood, find raccoons. Those are just bland. The game also needs more unique buildings (residential, commercial, industrial) to make it more diverse.

Fun but quests are annoying

Fun game overall, but if I have the money to build a city that works better than the first, it seems like it should then be a higher level. Right now you have to do a bunch of random quests to unlock better buildings instead of just being able to expand faster. If I have solar power in one city I feel like I should be able to ship that over to another city, so then you could have one for wood, one for farming, one for business, and a central hub

Solid Game

Really enjoying the game! Love all the unique ways to interact and that you can make purchases and interact with your city. The game controls are a bit difficult to use when you’re doing events or free roaming on mobile. But this game will definitely keep you busy. Hope to see more features added soon! Personally would love to see more of a story line or quest progression, similar to how Sims does the scenarios and events you can choose from but I know this is a young project so just keep up the good work!

Love the game so much, but one tiny thing

I have all the cars now, but when I go on free mode and do a car it always spawns me in the forest far away from my city. My city is really big but and as far away from the forest, I’ve all the map pieces and yeah, like why is it spying me in the forest? Can you fix that bug please I don’t like when it does it so please can you fix the bug.

Thank you for playing and we will investigate this!

Great game, small problem

Okay so what’s happening is I built subways and stations cause I thought it would be fun and I just don’t like how you can see the zone colors when you’re trying to do the subways it’s just annoying because it makes it difficult to fix the subways. I think if you were just seeing the subways it would be a who,e lot easier and more fun

This is worth it!

Honestly, this game was everything I expected it to be. Finding simulation games are usually very hard to find and It is not often you find one like this. The graphics are amazing, and me having gotten to level 95, the game can still hard. This game also teachers you how hard it is to run a real city, ( Hence mostly losing money at the beginning ) but for me, I think that is it. One thing I think they could improve is adding more minigames, because they are really fun. Shout out to the developer for making this amazing game, and I hope you have a great day!

Current thoughts and future ideas

So far, I think this game is very fun and it has a lot of potential. The gameplay is solid and there is plenty of opportunities for expressing creativity in the cities you can build. I also love the idea of being able to roam around the towns you build. I have yet to experience any game breaking bugs but I do think that the game does need some more refinement in some places.

For example, the inventory system should be more organized so you aren’t just scrolling down one massive scroll wheel of random stuff. A menu separating clothes, food, tools, etc. would help a lot. I also think that the images for some of the items such as furniture and clothing need to be rendered better or more optimized since it is currently very hard to make out the items you have or can get. Some textures on buildings and signs while free roaming are also poorly rendered so it’s impossible to make out what they say or depict. Some of the NPCs and designs for certain models have different designs or art styles so I think more cohesiveness in this area would also be good.

On the topic of clothing, I really like how you are able to make and customize your own mayor but right now the options for doing so feel a little sparse. More hairstyles, facial features and different kinds of clothes aside from tshirts, jackets and suits would be beneficial. Other than this, even though there is already a wide range of things you can build, more building types and different kinds of structures are always welcome. Being able to customize the layout of your home aside from just being able to place furniture would also be a cool addition. While there are different styles of buildings you can have such as different looking stores, the interiors are all the same, so making interiors specific to the different types of stores could be cool.

Overall this is a very good game and I’m hoping it is worked on more for future updates.

The only thing good

If you have trouble finding the right fun game for your family or kids you should check out this free app that has absolutely NO ADDS if you don’t already know or believe me you can check out Apple Arcade every single game on Apple Arcade is free and has no ads and again it’s OK if you don’t believe me, but you should definitely check it out. Because if you’re over paying for trying to find fun stimulation games or any of the above you should definitely check out Apple Arcade. It’ll help solve all your problems.

Fun game but bugs with regions

While this game is fun and not pay to win like other city games, (like others mentioned) changing regions is extremely buggy making progression extremely slow if not impossible.
After selecting a different region and clicking load, the loading screen begins and then stops. Only after restarting multiple times does the region finally load.
Other than this one bug the game is extremely well built. While not a big fan of the low poly art style in general, the ability to free roam and drive around interacting with stores is a genuinely unique mechanic. Additionally, the use of public transportation offers multiple ways to get around the city easily (however bus mechanics could be improved). Some small improvements that would be very interesting (taking inspiration from City Skylines) would be the use of roundabouts and the ability to control certain train routes. An office zone (which requires education but counts under the industrial zone type) would also be a cool addition.

It was fun…

I was having so much fun, I finished the first city and then started the next one on the desert terrain. I switched back to the first city to keep building and now when I try to load the desert city it just freezes so I now can’t leave the city I’m in and move between them. It’s super frustrating and I don’t want to just give up on it but I can’t get out of a finished city so there’s no point.

Tutorial?

I started the tutorial, paused the game, came back and now the tutorial has stopped and I’m expected to just know what to do. I can’t find a way to restart the tutorial, so I guess I’m not gonna play this game. Pretty bad design.

The developer response told me to uninstall and reinstall the game. That did not change the situation, but it turns out there is an option to make a new city a tutorial city. Perhaps that option was already there and I missed it, but apparently so did the developers. So for now the game gets 4 stars.

Thank you for playing the game, we appreciate all feedback as it is extremely valuable. For your current issue I would recommend uninstalling and re-installing the game. Then if you start a new city you should see the tutorial again.

One of the best!

I don’t normally play city simulators but this one is really cool. I love that you can go into a third person pov and explore the city on your own feet PLUS do all the regular city building stuff. The mini games are cool too (uber, firefighter sim, hide and seek, etc). First time playing it and I was there for hours. It’s honestly so cool. The ONLY thing is that it does get your phone hot after a while but it makes sense. Honestly I’m fully invested, I reached lvl 60 after a good 5 hours straight. You can adopt animals, drive cars, and befriend people in your city. The natural disasters are awesome too, they let you rebuild for free so it’s just something crazy to do if you get a bit bored. Literally a perfect game that reminds me why I pay for Apple Arcade every month lol.

To many bugs and crashes

Games fun when it runs but once you start unlocking other regions the game crashes making it relatively unplayable. The building UI for roads is pretty annoying especially when you make a mistake and have to constantly be canceling and attempting to rebuild over and over rather than just having a back button. Most of the interactions within the games free roam features causes the game to bug out and freeze or outright crash forcing a restart almost every time. Most buttons to be able to enter and leave a building also don’t seem to work. Tried giving it a go but needs a lot of improvements to help make the game run smoothly.

Has features I legitimately wish city skylines had!

They’re not fully featured like a true city builder like city skylines. This is a wonderful game, especially for mobile and I love that you actually natively have a POV of your city as mayor that’s a genius feature. I love that you can actually enter certain shops and purchase from them that’s also very cool. Overall, a great game for mobile I’ve mainly been playing an iPad, which is awesome, but also good on iPhone

Okay Game

Mechanics take a bit getting used to, but they get easier as time goes on. There are better city building games out there.

I’m having difficulty getting over the childishness of some elements. When you accept a quest and the person jumps and says “yay.” I don’t know why it bothers me this much, but it bothers a whole star out of me. Five star ratings don’t truly exist, so here’s a 4 minus 1 rating.

Game also keeps crashing when trying to load in neighboring cities.

Stressing me out

This game is really stressful. I downloaded it feeling very good and thinking it’s very good and it isn’t stressful but when I started playing it, it started out good but then and I had to get off the game because as immediately all of my money he started going down down down down and apparently it went to zero dollars and then I like like right when like I have like like my quest to do and then it just stressed me out so I had to get off the game immediately I’m not sure if I’ll delete this game and like it has the opportunity for you to do natural disasters why would you want to do that to your own City and plus us like there’s some good things to it but it just is so stressful I I rated this one star because I get stressed out very easily. I get grossed out very easily and I have anxiety and I don’t think this game is the best if you have anxiety or you’re stressed out this is not a common game all right but you do get to be the mayor in it, but then you act like when like it but then immediately you wish you weren’t the mayor in this game and it’s terrible. I’m sorry I don’t wanna be rude but I just and I’m not a hater I just I just get really stressed out easily in this game is very stressing me out all right.

Transfer Cities from Paid to Arcade Version?

Of course I purchased the game two weeks prior to it being released on Arcade! (that I pay for already) Great game ,too addicting. Has a lot of room to grow and hope and wish updates came faster. Skylines could learn a thing or two from PC2 and PC2 could use Simcities for inspiration. Does it makes sense to download cities from the other version onto Arcade?
