Tried so many times
Tried so many times to get the app to connect to my pokibot robot. Watched videos, looked for instructions, and it’s still didn’t work. One star.

Doesn’t work
My pokibot doesn’t even seem connected, and it doesn’t do the things it claimed to do like spin, dance ect. The only way it reacts to flapping is repeating, and yes I have tried clapping three times (dance) and twice (spin) and all it does is repeat my voice. I regret buying it.

As others have said… this app doesn’t do anything at all… it’s almost as if the app has been designed to simply steal all your personal data to store in a massive warehouse in China 👎🏻

App is useless
You supposed to have BLE scan and connect/disconnect buttons, otherwise it’s not even clear about Bluetooth Low Energy connection…
As a pro BLE developer I will give you an advice:
1. Scan BLE advertisement for devs
2. Filter devs by name
3. Do BLE connect
4. Read data and maintain synchronization
5. Do event based communication
Imagine, if I have 3 robots and 3 phones in the same room, impossible to use by your design!

No instruction
The app does actually work but there are no instructions. You have to have the volume on full and hold you phone like you normally would. Press one of the buttons and it makes a sound that the robot hears and then performs the action. It works better if you hold your phone normally as the sound bounces off your body and the robot picks it up better. It’s very basic just move and dance. I was thinking you connect to the robot but it doesn’t it’s just the sounds the app makes.

Disappointing app. No connection. No instructions for how to connect. Stick w the remote and don’t bother with the app…it’s probably just a tracking/phishing attempt on your device.
Pretty good
Sometimes the robot is not responsive and sometimes the app activated other robots nearby but other then that a good app and robot overall!

The robot and the app
I tried using the app for my sister’s robot maze breaker, and it’s fantastic! I have seen some bad reviews but I don’t really believe it’s that bad, the only thing is that you need to have your speaker really lout so it can hear it. Sometimes it’s mishearing the command, and instead moving forward it dances, but that’s alright! I like that it can make my sister smile with its silly moves and sounds. 😊

The app works for me. I thought it didn’t at first but then I did as it instructed and turned my phones sound on. It is a little delayed to respond to commands but for us this is ok for the price. Great little toy

------ Finally got it working in a consistent manner ------ First of all, it uses sound frequency to control the robot, not bluetooth, so turn up your speaker and make sure you're not in a noisy environment. Second of all, the robot is constantly alternating between 3 states: Random actions (moving and making sounds), waiting to repeat your words (may vary with your toy) and waiting for the app (the eyes are not blinking, no sounds). THE APP WILL WORK ONLY DURING THIS STATE! Have fun!
