A beautifully designed, well thought out app.
Brilliant app. Very generous free to try out and well worth the $10 for export. Maybe an auv3 player for DAWs would be cool but I really just enjoy designing in the app itself without distractions.
Between this and Musyc 2 this year is really impressive. Bravo.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write this — especially a third time!
The best visual synth for iPad

Great fun with a tiny glitch! Edited!!
Less than a week after writing this review, the app had been updated and the issue fixed. Huge thanks to the dev team! Upgraded from 4 to 5 stars :)
I’m loving Polagone - so much fun for bus journeys and lunch breaks and is already become a firm staple in my VJ content pipeline!
My only issue is that on my iPhone (12, running iOS 17… yes I know…) the only way for me to start a new project is to delete the app and redownload it. It works brilliantly on my iPad so almost certainly an old iOS bug!

Thanks a lot for your review — it really means a lot, even when it’s a bit nuanced. I’m really glad to hear you’re enjoying Polagone and using it in your VJ workflow. A lot of improvements and new features are planned for live performance use later this spring. Regarding the issue on iOS 17, thanks for pointing it out. This kind of behavior is indeed linked to older iOS versions, and it should be fixed in the next update. Thanks again for your feedback and support — it really helps improve the app.
This is an amazing app!
nice but one stupid flaw

Thanks a lot for your review — it really means a lot, even when it’s a bit nuanced. Just to clarify one important point: saving your projects is actually free, unlimited, and synced across all your Apple devices via iCloud. What is paid is the export (PNG, JPEG, SVG, PDF, etc.), which helps support the development of the app. That said, if you don’t want to pay, there’s always a simple workaround — taking a screenshot works too. Of course, with a screenshot you won’t have control over framing, resolution, or export format. Thanks again for your feedback — and I hope you’ll consider updating your rating.
Amazing app
A True Graphic Gem!
Small footprint, but the ability for fairly radical complexity, or easy minimalism, and very high quality output.
I haven’t mastered it yet, but you don’t really have to. You can get great results from simply playing around and experimenting.
I kinda wish I could make the animations reactive to an imported sound file that gets exported with the animation if you want, but as it is… it’s an extremely impressive app that I’ll have no hesitation pulling the trigger on the in app unlock purchase!
A true gem and a steal for what you actually get! It’s one of those secret weapons that you want to be quiet about and keep to yourself, but also want to tell people about to help the developer flourish. Well done 👍 and Bravo 🙌!!!
Avec Polagone, on se prend pour Victor Vasarely !
Génial !
