Biased news, not worth reading
I used to consume a lot of my news from Politico, but over the last few years they’ve become extremely biased in their reporting. Not a good source of honest news reporting anymore.
I’ve written emails to them calling out particular word choices and how they describe situations. After seeing another article today, I’ve given up removed this app.

News turned propaganda
What used to be a well respected news outlet decided to shred any semblance of dignity or impartiality and became a mouthpiece for right wing demagogues
Even the open an account link doesn’t work!
I was seriously considering a switch from NYT to Politico but I can’t even determine the cost of a subscription via the app. It’s incredibly slow and, judging from overwhelming number of one-star category in ‘recent reviews’, is simply shut down.

Politico used to have great cutting-edge reporting, with depth and insight. Now it’s a lot of propaganda pieces for Trumpy politics.

News stories won’t open
Politico iOS app suddenly stopped opening news stories. I can see the headline, but when I want to read further, it will not open.

When we want to read news it shouldn’t have such a verification, you guys act like it secret news. Calm down and get over yourself!
Egregiously partisan and divisive rhetoric
Pushes increasingly authoritarian, left wing talking points and disinformation at the expense of balance and perspectival diversity. The publication makes no effort to present the different legitimate angles of a given issue, nor does it trust the reader to come to his or her own conclusions; evidently, there is no room for the “demos” in “democratic” here.
On the plus side, for anyone seeking a flavour of the corporatist ideology that prevails in today’s mainstream discourse, or of the false consciousness that pervades the so-called globalist cohort, one could do worse than read this bien pensant publication.

This App is virtually nonfunctional, with the continual bombardment of a pop requiring an email, my employer, and a job description. Really? Why?
Difficult to read Politoco EU articles from the US
Every time this app redirects me to an article on Politico EU it has to recheck my network connection and then forces me to sign in again.
Why would you ever use this app?
Every time an article is opened in this app, it wants an email address to read. Use the web based and save the harassment. Politico, this is a baffling decision.
Update has ruined this
The new update has made login a dystopian experience at best. Navigating is clumsy and UI unintuitive. I kept this on my phone for years because it was a quick way to check the news. Now it’s cumbersome and intrusive making checking the news a kind of information colonoscopy. I’ve deleted the app and will sadly find some other source for news. Once again “progress” has ruined something working perfectly well for the vast majority. Thanks.

Great news coverage bad code. Web and App Product Manager should be fired or... go back to school. Forgot Password emails don’t arrive (no, it’s not in Junk). Accounts are not synchronized with .eu website. Signup on app (used a different email this time) didn’t prompt for a password. If you are hiring testers, give me a call.
