Being Informed by KGW no Matter where we live.
Being an Oregonian but, now living in Texas. I truly enjoy getting to see whatever is happening in Oregon and WA as still have family living in both states up there.

Miss the old features
I love the reporting. However, Since the update I can’t get the articles to increase in font size. Never had that issue before. Also since the update I can’t easily find the high & low temp for the day, forget trying to see the 10 day forecast. I used to always check KGW weather as it seemed most accurate but now I just check the google weather app.

There is a lot wrong with the weather app. It also needs to be updated.
Prefer version before revamp
Wish the app was still as it’s been. Wish the weather section of the app was the way it was, more content. This update doesn’t feel finished or visually interesting
Changed App Format
KGW changed format of App in April 2026 that drastically reduced readability and features more advertisements. Focus should remain on local and regional news and less on sensationalized national news and with content developed by human journalists. Access to insightful reporting is important and trust of news sources is critical to an educated populace.

Do not support the new ownership & how they refer to their reporters as losers. The reporters are not losers. The new company that took over is. I miss the old kgw but it's gone.

New version not as good
This new version lacks font size control. There is no way to enlarge the font of articles. Using the font size adjustment in iOS has no body text effect. And there is no app feedback option within the app.
This version not supports rotation iPad
I use this app for many years and it great. But after update to this newest version it not support rotation anymore. I uninstalled and will reinstall after this function is fix.

I had the app as it is a local one for news; the bad part is it shows more ads than the news and then waiting for break. So, I just deleted it and find something else.
Your app sucks and it never functions correctly
There is something terribly wrong with your live stream. It is a coin flip whether or not your Apple TV app or your iOS app will actually stream the morning news or stop every two seconds and buffer for another 10. This has been going on for over a year.
