This is why we also provide a 325+ database of unbranded foods and beverages so that users in countries other than the United States or Canada can find a best fit, and also an "Add food' option to add in your own foods where you know the potassium content.

Difficult but helpful
I’d like to see them add a goal intake. My mom has renal trouble and needs her intake below 2000 per day. I should be able to set this do she sees in red when she goes over. Or at least the line would be lower. This would be a great feature.
Since this is the only app I’ve found, I’ll try to work with this. But I’m dealing with an 80 year old and hoping it’s not too difficult to teach her.

We also include App Previews on the App Store to provide guidance on how to use the Settings tab to set your desired target daily intake, preferred units for weights (g or ounces) and for amounts of nutrient (in terms of weight or % daily target) per serving and per weight unit, and how to record your intake by dictation, search and favoriting. Now, when I type in a food to add, a dark bar comes down from the text box and obscures the selection of what I am typing.

Second: When an item is “searched”, eg “bread” several choices are listed but the app only supplies potassium for one of those items so why tease us wi 4 other choices.
Third: Not at all intuitive to use. Who would know to tap on “count” to get to other instructions. Very confusing to use.
