Saving Money AND Saving the Environment - winning! Seriously, we had an ice dam before we got this product because we thought we could guess when to turn on hear cables…never again, AND Powder Watts saved on our electric bill. Should be on all homes with snow!
Huge savings and new visibility
Seeing some pretty massive reductions in heat cable energy usage with the PowderWatts approach compared to the old “leave it on all winter” method. The monitoring and alerting side also alerts when there are heat tape shorts or tripped breakers before ice dams or damage vs having to check each panel. Labor and avoided expense lifesaver!

Great service
Heat tape is the most expensive part of power bill. This is great because I don't have to worry about turning it on and off but I can just let powder watts do its thing. Great idea for a simple problem.
Easy Decision
Such an easy decision to make. This company is about as environmentally friendly as they come. I love the fact that they take a product we all need in the mountains ie heat tape and transform it from an energy guzzler to a responsible consumer.
The app is easy to use and provides tons of information at your fingertips.
Much better than the temperature controlled heat tape that just kicks on when it is cold as this product actually sees the snow and ice and adjusts accordingly. Personally we’ve saved thousands of dollars not just at our home but at our rental condos as well.
