Useless

Once again this app won’t load card images or search. Previously I got it working again by reinstalling but not this time. Time to move on. Was great when it worked.

Almost Perfect

Love the deck builder, love the ability to search cards through a variety of filters. Only feature missing is the ability to export decks to scryfall or tcgplayer, or cardkingdom, etc to check prices and compare or to make purchases.

Missing a few components

Hey P9 crew! Thank you so much for this app, it is by far my favorite mtg app! When you updated there were a few things missing in the newer version and was wondering if they were coming. In the deck lists you had the price of each card listed which helped me make a wishlist and bring it to my LGS. But the way you have the deck lists do not have the price of each card listed which is a bit inconvenient. Also I really enjoyed searching for cards by their expansion and was hoping that would come back. Will you have a spoiler section as well again that I can peek at again? I loved the custom names you guys made for cards that didn’t have names yet “the better name for this card” names :) thank you so much!!

Loved this app, but....

I loved this app when I could use it. Unfortunately it’s not working correctly for me anymore. Immediately crashes upon launch.

The crash on start error was thought to have been fixed in the last update and this is the first report I’ve received since. I would love to help resolve this if you want to contact me via support@power9.io to get more information.

It just keeps crashing.

I’ve tried to use the app for 5 minutes but it just kept crashing. Fortunately I saw a very recent review of someone having the same problem and the developer responding acknowledging the problem. I’ll be waiting and checking into this app to see when it gets fixed. It would for sure be a 3-4 star review then! A lot of potential!

Thanks for giving Power 9 a try. I have a fix in the final testing stages that will hopefully be released by the end of the week.

So far so good

So far the app is fairly decent. The advanced search is the best part for me.
1) the icon for a deck is whichever card you put at the top, I wish you could change that after the fact
2) if you add a non tournament legal card to a deck you can’t get rid of it. It doesn’t show up in the deck list but does add to the total cards in the deck.
3) I wish you could change the expansion of the card in a deck to reflect the version that you have

It’s possibly that these things are changeable but I could not figure out any of them.

Works great

Works super well very snappy and don’t have to wait for much of anything but I’d absolutely love the ability to sort through the deck list by cmc, color, and type it’d just save me a huge headache and save sooo much time 10/10 app easily recommend

Good for mobile, but website is better

This app is a great resource for mobile, and is great for finding cards for a tribal deck, ( such as subtype: merfolk) or a theme deck (card text: lifelink), but if you have access to the website I would recommend it over this. Also I would like to report a crash, where when changing CMC values the app crashes.

Wow, with issues!

App has the potential to be something great.
On my iPhone xr, however, I keep getting white full pages when I click the cards and descriptions. No idea why.

Started happening worse when I upgraded to pro.

I hope it can be fixed!

Sorry about the white page issue. A bug was introduced with the Ikoria spoilers and a fix was submitted for release to the App Store today. I appreciate the enthusiasm and hopefully the update will meet your expectations.

The best Magic the Gathering card search app

Look up Magic cards by name, color, mana cost, or card text with search terms. Works very similarly to Scryfall.

A BIG Upgrade

Due to the unsupported app “uMagic” losing its support, I was in search for an app that had a database of current cards, commander style deck building and simulated gameplay. As a cEDH player with over 28 decks this app does everything to keep all of my decks organized while also seeing all current prices, printings, etc... Easily the best MTG deck building app on the market. Please don’t die.

Thank you so much for the awesome review. uMagic was the king of the MTG apps and I am hoping to pickup and improve where it unfortunately left off. I am implementing automation wherever possible starting with the card database; all new cards are synced to your device automatically so you’re always up to date. The best way to ensure that this app endures is with a subscription. That’s what allows me to afford to continue providing seamless automation and develop new features.

Amazing. Simply amazing.

I would like to state that I’ve seen numerous card search apps everywhere, and not one has had such a clean interface as this one. It’s nice, bright, clean, and you can find everything you need relatively quickly. Was encountering a little bit of lag when it came to button presses but that might just be my phone. Overall, I like it and am very excited to continue using this app.

Pretty much everything I wanted

I found the app through your reddit when looking for uMagic alternatives a few months back, and I’ve been pretty happy with it so far (note - I haven’t explored all the features yet). I know it’s still in development, but I wanted to report a minor bug here since I don’t have reddit or Twitter, which seems to be the only other ways to contact you. When doing an oracle text search, (ex. Return all humans), when I try to change the last term by backspacing, the first char of that string (no matter where it was in the word) is automatically re-entered in the search field, even after changing the word for other searches. I was also able to replicate this on my friend’s phone (both iPhones). A place within the app to report bugs also doesn’t seem like a bad idea ;)

Per the bug, thank you for bringing this to my attention. I will look into it and try to squeeze a fix into the next release. An easier way to report bugs directly in the app is on my wishlist, but I have not had a chance to set something up.

Incredible App!

I found this app through the umagic forums. I absolutely love that you have implemented so many features from there while also perfecting them, I gave yearly sub to support the app. And I know it is still under development but if there were more features during play testing like being able to zoom in on to cards during play testing, (I have bad eyes and can not read the miniature versions of the cards lol) or having “zones” so the land and spells aren’t in a mix, that would absolutely top it off. All in all an amazing utility app for magic players and by far the best magic app on the market. THANK YOU!

The iOS mtg app you’ve been waiting for

The creator is super interactive on /r/Power9io and clearly is interested in making a sustainable free-to-use (with minor upsides to sub) app through automation that will never leave us apple users to rot like the previous apps have.
