Great app

I enjoy using this app. It’s easy and helps me stay healthy

Good motivation with rewards

Good motivation to stay active and make sure I’m getting my annual screenings in exchange for rewards.

Significant removal of options

After the last update a significant amount of point related activities are missing. The articles, interactive posts, health FYI, the majority of the proof of preventative screenings, all gone. Sent an email to ask about this and got a generic response ending with “We do not have an estimated time frame of resolution.” This directly impacts my ability to participate in my employer benefit. And the best part about it is that this same issue is on the website as well and not limited to the app. So they are not being forthright with this change at all.

Slow and confusing

Vitality app hides basic functions and locks up trying to do basic tasks. Gets worse every update.

Weekly Points

You should be able to customize your weekly points based on you schedule each week. You should also be able to earn higher points for higher level workouts, 60 minutes or more.

Glitches

Love the format however lots of glitches. Doesn’t record workouts, has issues syncing with iPhone. Had to put in dental check up two times hoping second one gets points recorded properly

Poor performance

Trying to log a workout takes forever since it just keeps spinning and spinning and spinning! My phone turns off and the app is still spinning! Fix this problem once and for all.

Worse

Old app was way better and more user friendly. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

The Squares game is rigged; the app doesn’t have a native iPad layout

In all the years I have been doing the “Squares” game match I have only gotten (5) once. There is no way to know if it is actually random or rigged to never let you get enough “matches” to get the real prizes (gift certificates and top Rewards points scores). Also, there is no native iPad layout format, so you have the option of your phone or a phone size layout on your iPad. Poor programming.

Satan has an app

If I could give negative five stars, I would. I imagine that the parents of these developers pretend that their kids joined the peace corps and moved away. No respectable developer would associate themselves to this app. There has been ZERO positive gains for years despite user feedback. Unfortunately, Aetna forces us to use this garbage. Shame on Aetna, shame on the developers, and shame on the parents of the developers since you neglected to instill common sense and proper work ethic into these knobs.

App needs work GREAT concept

App has improved, but it closed when I earn a gift card. Dunno where that went or how to redeem it.
Great content and opportunities for rewards and friendly competition.

Resolved complaints show improvement: click on videos. Also username and password didn’t save. But now they do. Thanks.

Data mining & bad rewards

This app is just being pushed to workers to data mine them. The “rewards” take so much effort to even be considered ok for the data mining. Stay away from

I’ve watched glaciers move faster than this app.

I don’t think I’ve ever used an app that refreshes or freezes as much as this thing.

Often doesn’t function as intended

Certain things in the app, such as the weekly exercise points progress, won’t appear unless you reload it. Also, suddenly not allowing me to submit a biometric screening for points. Finally, don’t have the same options for the rewards mall as my partner (much less than them).

Just all around janky and seems unfinished

Poor performance

This app is terrible. It doesn’t allow me to upload files to show proof of services. It consistently says files must be under 4MB. My files are 3.5MB and they get rejected. The points accrue, then disappear, only to appear again weeks later. My employer rewards are based on completing specific tasks within specific timeframes , and the tasks don’t show up when completed. The app is clumsy and needs improvement.

Awesome

Helps me keep myself active and reach my health goals in a systematic way. Great motivation for being healthy

Never opens

Works fine via web browser but defeats the purpose of an app when the app says “this page is taking a snooze”

Garbage

Trouble syncing data from fitbit to this app

It would be great if my device health data is synced correctly with this app.

Flaws, bugs and so many issues!

When will you fix the issues that continue to exist with this app? Today is July 1 and the app is recording data as July 2. All my activity check-ins for June 28 and 29 reported as June 30. In turn, making me lose out on 60 points. There’s always weird issues like this the cause the reporting and point rewards to be incorrect. It takes a help desk member over a week to respond to inquiries and when they do, they act like the user and the user’s device are the problem. No - your terrible app is the problem.

No automatic activity tracking

This app has been a constant source of frustration because it will not track your exercise heart rate for credit unless you first tell your device you’re doing an exercise. I’ve racked up 100+ minutes of 60% of my max rate for a consistent 45+ minutes and the Power of Vitality app won’t credit me unless I first tell my tracker “hey, we’re going to exercise now.” What good is that? I’ve given you my data and successfully set up the synch with my fitness tracker, but the app isn’t smart enough to figure out that I’ve been busting my butt. So I’ve relented, make sure to set it to “aerobics” because it doesn’t matter and that’s conveniently first in my tracker’s choices, and then do my walking, landscaping, or whatever else is going to get my heart rate up and keep it there. But I can do that without this app, and was doing that before all this, so the app serves no useful purpose to me other than to get the employer HSA contributions I rightfully earned with my sweat and pain and doctor visits.
