Difficulty Spike
A0 is incredibly easy. The second you hit A1 the difficulty spikes beyond comprehension. The user goes from simple sentences instantly to multiple paragraphs of words never covered.
App needs work
I changed avatar to Raika and I can not hear any avatar. I also changed to A1 and still no volume with any avatar. This is disappointing.
Not better than typical AI
This is the third or fourth AI app I have used to practice Spanish. I’m a pretty decent Spanish speaker already. And I have to say, ChatGPT is much better. Praktika makes you press a button every time you want to speak, which is not how their advertisements on YouTube make it look and also not how natural conversations work. Second, I’m so tired of the subscription model that makes you pay for several months or a year because they know their product is mediocre and people won’t stick with it. I think this is AI capitalist garbage and if you want to use AI to learn language, just stick with your preferred basic AI platform.

Messed Up First Conversation
The AI messed up the first conversation. I put my native language as English and my learning language as Arabic and the AI asked why I wanted to learn English. I then got a little confetti burst to congratulate me on how well I speak English. That’s NOT what I’m trying to learn.
Seems nice.

Reinstalled app, bug did not fix the problem. Contacted support, no response
Insane
Ridiculous. I subscribed to the yearly and had a week free trial and I enabled the notify me before free trial ends and they never did notify me. It then offered me the free trial again and as soon as I subscribed again it automatically charged me for the full year. Not to mention the yearly is not cheap either.

I purchased this app answered about 50 questions when I got to the end it tried to charge me again
Have been using Praktika for 2 months
however with the latest software update, all of my progress has disappeared and the app is treating me like a new client.
Awesome !
