Scam fighting for refund
They don’t go within the Apple inside app so once they got your credit card they’ll bill you and if you have an issue, they leave you hanging.
Filled with errors
Paid 80 bucks for an annual membership and the ai tutor can’t even give correct quiz questions. How am I supposed to learn from this? Want to request a refund.

AI slop app, probably vibe coded
From the very first lesson the text didn’t even align with the AI speech. If you switch to another app in the middle of a lesson you can’t resume the session if you close the minimized window. Charging 50 bucks for this for 3 months is literal proof that we’re in hell. All these 5 star ratings have to be AI bots. Example: the text says ‘guten abend’ yet the AI text to speech says a completely different word. All this happened in the first 5 minutes.

Very useful
I’m pretty happy with this app that I’m using to brush up on my Spanish. It has all kinds of useful features to give feedback on your grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation etcetera. I would be thrilled if they added Thai.
Overall good aside from technical problems
Overall I think the app is great, it provides good feedback, corrections are reliable and nice to have options of free talk vs a structured syllabus. What lets it down is the technical side for me. Most of my conversations are plagued with technical problems. Speech recognition issues, transcript therefore ending up incorrect, losing connection, having to restart from scratch and losing the conversation thread.

Voice harvesting
So basically, for me, in, recorded my voice then forced a pay wall in my face, I do NOT trust such shady practices good job I faked the voice! Disgusting!
Completely Broken for Chinese. False Advertising.
This app is a scam for Chinese learners. The trial was structured and helpful 😀. The moment I paid, it became unusable🤔.
It goes from teaching you “hello” to demanding you read and respond in full Chinese sentences. Zero word instruction😫. Zero grammar explanation. Zero tutoring. The AI acts like you’re already fluent. When I begged it to teach me grammar, it refused. When I told it we never covered those words, it just spat out the answer in Chinese and moved on.
Lessons have no connection to each other. There is no curriculum, no building blocks, no scaffolding. You are not “practicing” Chinese — you are being fed answers you don’t understand by an AI optimized to trick you into subscribing.
I have screenshots and screen recordings proving the paid version is nothing like the trial. If you want to learn Chinese, avoid this app. It will take your money and teach you absolutely nothing🤬

저는 개인적으로 별로입니다
어쩔 수 없이 ai라서 당연히 오류 있는 부분 이해가지만 well done을 well is done이라고 여러번 반복한다던지 아주 기초적인 부분에서도 실수가 잦고요.. 응답도 버벅거리고 느릴 때가 많아서 너무 답답해요 그리고 다른 리뷰 말대로 쉽게 말해달라고 해도 그 챕터에서 잠시 뿐이고 난이도 조절도 쉽지않고요 내가 했던 말 문법이 맞는 건지 매번 눌러서 확인하는 것도 불편해요 … 내가 했던 말 문법 확인하고 있는 동안 ai는 멈추지도 않고 자기 할 말만 계속 하고 있어요 … 저는 추천 안해요 … 그냥 프리토킹 원하시는 분들은 차라리 챗 지피티로 대화하시는 것도 나쁘지 않다고 봅니다

Chinese🧐
I purchased this to try to learn Chinese and immediately it seemed like it was the best thing ever I told my wife I told my kids and after I purchased the premium subscription that’s when I started realizing there were very big challenges that this app did not address. First of all the app doesn’t guide you through even though I asked for a strict curriculum so there are many times even now where it’s asking me to read Chinese and this is day two without explaining what the words mean. I have never seen these characters in my life. also does not guide you through lesson plans. It almost assumes like you have a basic understanding of Mandarin, which I don’t. The AI constantly makes mistakes with pronunciation, and the lessons are nine existent and all over the place. It just goes through whatever was already set up from the developers without teaching you anything. I am trying to get a refund now.

Couldnt access the app. Asked for a refund after paying for an annual subscription and haven’t gotten a response. Just run arounds from AI. I will be filing a report with my bank to dispute this and referring it to the better business bureau. Absolutely ridiculous.
