Terrible management of this app
The learning I suppose can be fine if you stick with it, but like many apps, they’ve made it incredibly challenging to cancel the subscription. HEAVY WARNING: do not subscribe unless you are sure you want to pay for this app for a while.
Rip off
The sales advert talks about how much it is per month and how little it will cost you. Then they take a 12 month lump sum out of your account. The sales advert talks about correcting you as you go along, I know I am making huge mistakes but it doesn’t correct me. I asked for a native AI tutor, but mine says it comes from Hawaii and lives in California. Where is the Spanish relevance? This app seems to be aimed at Americans. I would love a refund, if it had been a monthly payment I would’ve cancelled

Needs more Latin American Tutors
I love this app. It’s helping me improve my Spanish speaking skills. But I’m frustrated by how much it emphasizes “standard” Spanish. All four of the better quality tutors speak standard Spanish. Out of 18 tutors only six speak Latin American Spanish and only one of them is male.
Far more people in the world speak Latin American Spanish. I live in the south of the US. I can drive to Mexico in a few hours. I want to learn to speak the type of Spanish I encounter on a daily basis. Even the lessons are focused on buying food in Madrid or Barcelona. Please include more accents and lessons focusing on Latin America.

Fraud
This situation is ridiculous. 1 year ago, I tried the free trial and forgot to cancel it before I was billed. That’s fine. I figured I would make the most out of it even though this app is NOTHING like the ads. I ended up barely using this app despite the 99 dollar charge, and just decided to take the loss. I canceled the subscription. Here we are over a year later, and I’m getting fraud warnings from my bank. This app has been trying to continuously charge me $108 despite me canceling the subscription. One of the charges actually went through and I had to call my bank to reverse it. This is ridiculous and should’ve been expected from an ai slop app.
