Definitely needs major improvements, but it is a decent idea. The advertisement was a bit misleading
The app itself is pretty decent, but the speech recognition is frustrating. When I speak a full sentence, it usually understands me pretty well. But when I’m practicing a single short word, especially smaller/common words, it will sometimes just refuse to recognize what I’m saying no matter how many times I repeat it or how clearly I speak. Then I’m forced to type the answer just to get past the lesson, which defeats the whole purpose of using the speaking exercises.
The advertising also made it sound like the app would actively correct your pronunciation if you pronounced something incorrectly. In my experience, it mostly just tells you how to pronounce the word and then checks what you enter through the microphone. I haven’t really seen the detailed pronunciation correction that was advertised.
I was considering paying for the subscription, but the speech recognition issues are frustrating enough that I don’t think I will.

Steaks don’t work
My last 3 days conversations have all now been put under “today”, giving me a 1 streak that refuses to go up. I paid for a year of this and it’s so broken.

나쁘지않으나 상호 소통이 안됨
나쁘지 않고 영어로 대화하는 인식도 나쁘지 않지만 상호소통이 안되는 면이 분명히 있고 ai이다보니 컴퓨터랑 대화하는거 같음 ㅋㅋ 회화의 한계가 명확함. 그리고 혹시 구입하셨다면 앱스토어에서 구독취소는 당장 환불이 아님 어플에 구독관리 들어가서 취소에 대한 것 누르면 영어로 잔뜩 나오는데 검색에 refund 치면 아이폰, 안드로이드 각각 취소방법이 나오고 아이폰은 중간에 애플 사이트 들어가서 취소 해야 취소됨 2일안에 해야하는것 같으니 괜히 질렀다

Needs improvement
I’ve tried all languages and was initially impressed with the possibility of learning by talking, but soon noticed the shortcoming of AI tutors. The voice recognition either accepts what you’ve said, or interpret it as something else, but it would not help you to correct your pronunciation. A human tutor would know how to speak to you with the words you’ve already learnt, introducing new phrases and grammar step by step, not talking to you in complex sentences that that the user doesn’t understand. For non-Latin languages, it is essential to teach how to read, e.g. Cyrillic alphabet for Russian, hiragana and katagana for Japanese, and Hangul for Korean, pinyin and tones for Chinese, however, the apps skipped this step and immediately shows you those written languages without explanation.
