Project nGene.org® is a research-oriented medical software workbench designed by Hyunsuk Frank Roh, MD, for hemodynamic modeling, waveform analysis, anatomy visualization, respiratory-mechanics education, ECG simulation, signal-processing education, and educational medical computation.
For technical compatibility within iOS systems, the app name appears as "Project_nGene.org" while representing Project nGene.org®.

Version 1.6 expands the Medical Equations workspace. eGFR is now a separate top-level calculator with CKD-EPI 2021, CKD-EPI 2009, MDRD, and CKD/ESRD GFR staging reference. Concise Korean HIRA reference reminders related to CKD anemia and erythropoietin-related review criteria are also included for quick educational reference.
Version 1.6 also reorganizes respiratory calculation tools. Quick Ventilator Settings and RSBI are now shown as separate ventilation-specific equations. Compliance and Ti/T-pause are organized under Miscellaneous Equations as smaller independent calculators. A new auto-scroll option helps users move directly from the library list to the selected calculator.
Version 1.5 expanded the Independent Component Analysis module with educational heart and lung sound source libraries. The ICA workflow supports selection of one heart sound source and one lung sound source, mixing them into observed channels, and applying ICA to estimate separated components.
The heart sound pool is based on the UMich Heart Sound & Murmur Library from Open Michigan / University of Michigan and is used under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 terms, except where otherwise noted by the source. The lung sound pool is based on HLS-CMDS: Heart and Lung Sounds Dataset Recorded from a Clinical Manikin using Digital Stethoscope, Version 3, DOI: 10.17632/8972jxbpmp.3, licensed under CC BY 4.0.
Version 1.4 introduced Virtual EKG Simulator, an optional educational add-on for simplified ECG waveform generation, rhythm selection, signal-quality controls, lead display modes, 3D electrical vector view, heart/electrode map, and live waveform sweep visualization.
Version 1.3 expanded the Virtual Ventilator Test-Lung add-on with Pressure Support, SIMV, PRVC, Pressure Control, and Volume Control mode exploration, plus respiratory-mechanics calculators.
Version 1.1 added an educational echocardiography recognition add-on for PSAX/PLAX-style view classification and AV/PV object scaffolding for anatomy-learning purposes.
This software is intended for research-oriented education, model inspection, anatomy learning, waveform visualization, auscultation signal-processing education, respiratory-mechanics education, ECG simulation education, and structured medical reasoning education.
It is not presented as a diagnostic or treatment device, does not provide patient-specific clinical decisions, and should not be used as a substitute for clinician judgment, ventilator management, respiratory therapy protocols, ventilator-weaning decisions, ECG interpretation, cardiac rhythm diagnosis, auscultation diagnosis, formal echocardiography interpretation, prescription decisions, reimbursement decisions, or clinical claim submission.
