Simple HR Display

I simply wanted an app to display HR from my Morpheus chest strap that I could read without reading glasses. This does exactly that. I wouldn’t complain about a larger HR display but this one works for my aging eyes

Streaming HR data

The app does what it says on the box: captures HR (5s intervals) and streams it reliably.

Battery Life: On an old Apple Watch Series 7, 6hr takes ~25% of the battery, so roughly one charge per full day.

Polish: The app & website aren’t the most flashy, feature-laden creations of mankind, but they get the job they claim to do done.

Support: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Support team is quick, respectful, and helpful. I reached out with a request that many teams would’ve been annoyed by, and they offered explanations, work arounds, and help.

Streamer Here

I think I’ve been using pulsoid for well over five years now for heart rate on my Twitch streams. I researched all over the internet for the longest time to try and find the best one, and you were the easiest to set up. I used the waist band monitor before but it always fell down while exercising. Once you updated to connect to Apple Watches I was so happy!!! Thank you for sending out stream reports too! The updates over the years have improved significantly!

Apple Watch not working

I guess it might not be compatible with the 1st gen Apple Watch, despite it having the ability to measure heart rate. The app will not download on my watch, and even when I look in the Apple Watch app on my phone, pulsoid is nowhere to be found. Not in settings, not anywhere. Wondering if this is a known issue about this and if it’s fixable?
Edit: I appreciate the developer response! One day I’ll get a compatible device so I can use this app.

The app requires watchOS 6.2 or later, and the oldest compatible model is the Apple Watch Series 3, released in 2017.

My apple watch won’t connect to the app on my phone

I’ve tried multiple times trying to connect my watch to the app on my phone but i still get the same “connection failed” error. i have an apple watch series 6. i factory reseted my apple watch, made a new account on the app, and uninstalled the app on both my watch and my phone hoping it’ll work but it never did. The heart rate works on my watch but it won’t connect to my phone.

You have to connect your Apple Watch directly from the Pulsoid Apple Watch app. Please, open the App Store on your watch and install Pulsoid there

Not suitable for pure live tracking

Regardless of whether the option to ‘save activity’ is checked the apps health access means it will register as a workout which quickly affects total calibrations.

Response from developer

The issue has been resolved in the latest version. Please note that the 'save activity' setting is applied before the connection to the sensor.

Needs a subscription to do just about anything

I wanted to use my old iPhone 6S and Apple Watch Series 3 to pipe heart rate into Resonite, but only after getting everything installed and synced it told me that I’d need to pay monthly for heart rate data access. Nope. No other app supports iOS and watchOS this old, unfortunately.

Hello! The basic heart rate streaming functionality is free, but API access for advanced use cases is available as part of the BRO pla

Amazing support

I use this on my stream (JesterVods on yt) shameless plug, I’ll admit, and it works great! Not only is the free version very cool to use and is customizable enough for me to be happy, but the CEO who is apart of the discord server for Pulsoid, is incredibly helpful and is super kind with her customer support! She gave me recommendations for certain monitors inside my budget range which was amazing how inexpensive of a monitor she could find me, she is a 10/10 on the help meter!!!

Works for me

No issues as of yet! I’m using this with a Polar H10 and the results are VERY accurate. The amount of other widgets they include for free is a huge plus.

Seems like ios13 broke it

Worked great until iOS 13

It doesn’t even work
