What's New in Q Codes Reference

4.0

September 9, 2026

Version 4.0 is a complete rebuild. The old Q Codes Reference was a table you looked things up in. This one starts from the problem rather than the code. You tell it what you need to say and it gives you the token that says it, then drills the vocabulary until you can recall it mid-contact rather than after the moment has passed. New throughout: a situation-first On Air tab with forty prompts and a complete worked contact from the first CQ to the closing SK, a spaced repetition trainer with recognition, production and audio drills, a signal report builder, amateur band allocations for all three ITU regions, and green, amber and red phosphor themes for daylight, comfort and a night-time shack. Every code can now be sent as Morse at a character and effective speed you choose. 106 entries across Q codes, prosigns, operating abbreviations and the phonetic alphabet, each one cross-referenced against two independent sources before it shipped. Rebuilt for modern iPhones and every calculation runs on the device. No account, no network call, and no tracking.

Useless without update

This app was a good reference app. I used it all the time. But an update is required in order to work with the last few updates to IOS and It appears the maker of the app isn’t going to perform the update.

Great except it needs updating to work with the latest iOS.

Now is the time to get this working. It has been ignored for three years. Things aren’t looking good for an update. This should be pulled from the App Store.

Excellent, but needs to be updated for IOS 11

Great program to find out what a Q code means. Largest selection I have found so far. Please update for IOS 11
