Doesnât work
I always get an internal server error. Worthless app.
Not reliable at all, not happy!
When I moved all of my assets, I had done a lot of reviews - there were concerning issues but nobody seem better.
After 2y with them, itâs the crappiest âlemonâ transactional server/client communication service I have ever encountered and I strongly encourage you donât sign up.
The app client, is really bad ⌠no live price, their backend system on busy days/hours fail to process transactions. When you place a trade, you might need to start over 5 times due to âsystems/client failuresâ and each time YOU HAVE TO START OVER from selecting the account (cash, RRSP, etc), the stock to trade, âlimit priceâ due to apparent high volatility⌠when thereâs no such high volatility.
On any error, the client is dump and doesnât have logic to resent a request - like an automatic retry, right? No they rely on you to do this but even on failure, a trade might pass and the client canât do a transactional refresh. If trying to place another trade for the same stock that had failed not even a minute ago, not even a pop up warning. If amazon can remind me that I already bought an item âare you sure you want to buy againâ type of message, why canât qtrade do this? God knows.
Also their Apple iOS client release notes, about a year ago they have stop providing information about an update. Not only they leave us not knowing whatâs happening, their own customer support team likely doesnât have that information handy. If they fix a bug that introduces a new one, obviously the release notes can help such cases and report back to the dev team. Perhaps they donât care? Hopefully they do something before I move out.
The ceo doesnât know me, otherwise heâd probably want to hire me to troubleshoot their performance bottlenecks and make sure these
bad issues donât go away.
