When I tried to follow up, my experience with Quick Collect’s customer service was appalling:
Unprofessional Phone Etiquette: I called at 7:30 AM (after checking that their website states they operate 24/7, despite getting an "outside of office hours" automated message shortly after). When the agent, Blessing, finally answered, she picked up grumpily—sounding half-asleep and answering as if it were her personal phone with no company greeting. When I asked if I had reached Quick Collect, she simply hung up on me.
Rude and Dismissive Behavior: When I called back at 8:00 AM, I got the same agent with the exact same nasty attitude. Instead of listening to my situation—that I was attempting a CAD-to-CAD transfer—she talked over me, demanded I follow steps in the app without letting me explain, and showed a complete lack of basic communication skills.
Lack of Accountability: When I asked how long the manual review typically takes, she bluntly stated, "I wouldn't know, you'll have to just wait for our people to look at it, maybe they haven't."
Unprofessional Call-Back Tactics: When I asked for her name and ID number to log a formal complaint, she pretended the network dropped, hung up, and immediately called me back from a different personal/unlisted number to demand my account details. When pressed again for her name, she grew combative, claiming they "don't have ID numbers." Shortly after, I received unsolicited WhatsApp messages from her asking for my sensitive information.
For a financial institution handling people's money and critical transfers, this level of disorganization, lack of training, and downright hostile customer service is completely unacceptable. Losing confidence in a platform is an understatement.
