Too power-hungry
Well, I’ve given Quip many chances, but I’m finally deleting it as of today. Improvements have been made along the way, but it still wastes too much screen space (a small clip takes up a lot of space in the drop-down), and most important of all, Quip is killing my machine’s performance, consistently using about 25% of my CPU.
In the two weeks since my machine booted, my other clipboard manager has used 8 minutes of CPU time, while Quip has used over 64 hours! And since I find my other clipboard manager much easier and quicker to use, I am jettisoning Quip. Sorry.

Does not Copy everything?
Recently Upgraded to Tahoe and my old and trusty Clipboard manager stopped working - ClipMenu. I tried Quip and I love the UI, but it is a bit sluggish.
However my biggest issue is that it does not consistently copy everything. I copied a portion of code from VS code then went back and did cmd+A to copy all text from that file It does not recognize this is a new copy. Do not have time to troubleshoot

Hi there, Quip has optional settings to filter items it thinks you might not want. You can turn these off in settings -> but in this case it's likely it assumed you did not want it with these features enabled. We'll continue to improve the experience.
Not ready for prime time
First thing I tried to copy was a non-standard link in Chrome using the context menu. Fails repeatedly and never copies the link to the app, though it IS in the clipboard. Try another way and paste the text into a text file and copy as text, still won’t work.
It looks like it’s making judgment calls about what it will or will not track, without letting ME choose.
Thus, it’s utterly useless right out of the gate for me.

Hi there, Quip has optional intelligence features that were likely filtering the items. I would love to help you figure out the best options for your use if you reach out to support
