Thank you for your feedback - you are seeing the job feed which is where jobs are posted - if you want quotes, you post your job, it ends up on the job feed and service providers will quote your job. You can send a support an email if you require any assistance - support@quoteit.ca

Some great trades

I have used this App many times and find that it saves me time to narrow down some options and then speak/search a specific few in more detail. There was one bad apple (for whom I was able to leave a review on the app for others to know), but on the whole have found some great and timely service

Easy and effective

I have used Quote It for multiple jobs around my house. Big and small. Inside and outside. Every time, I have been happy with the results. It’s hard to find people to come to do smaller jobs but this app connects homeowners to people that are capable and willing to do the work. It also makes scheduling the job super easy. I recommend this app regularly.

Decent lead app

I haven’t had any back experiences with this app and I have had with many many other platforms! It is fairly simple to use and directs very specifically leads directly to us so you know you’re not ever getting something you’re not interested in.

Waste of time

Looked to have a tree removed. So much variance for the job. Some buds came in at $350 others $2000. Not tree removal specialists either. Most contractors don’t reply to additional inquiries. Have to call. What is point of the app then?

Scam

Do not enter your information in this app. They sell your phone number and now I’m getting constant text messages asking if I need a new roof or bathroom remodel.

Hello., we do not sell user information. Contact details are only shared when a homeowner chooses to connect with a provider. We’ve also recently updated our process to further limit how contact information is accessed. Please email support@quoteit.ca so we can investigate this.

Useless app and developer posts false stuff on Facebook

The developer seems to spam this terrible app all over Facebook but putting that to the side no one uses this app and you’re better off not even bothering posting anything

Hi Pericles, thanks for your feedback. It looks like the post you attempted to submit was flagged because it appeared to be a business promotion rather than a homeowner job request. To keep the platform fair for everyone, we moderate posts to ensure they follow the correct category. The good news is that we’re currently working on a new update that will allow service providers to promote their business directly on the platform at no cost. This will give pros a dedicated place to showcase their services without needing to post it as a job request. Not Great

Originally thought this was a great service, being able to post a job and get multiple quotes, but what I’m finding through the app is that Contractors will just throw a number out there whether it’s realistic or not even if you provide significant details in your listing. A lot of the times the numbers are just off the top of their head numbers $9000 $15,000, $5000 $110. $2000. Honestly, I’m so frustrated with the estimating process when somebody asked a question. I’m actually happy because it makes me think they’re actually trying to be sincere. I find the app a bit of a waste of my time. People are just throwing numbers out there to get the job or to see how much they can get from the job.

False advertising

The lady who works for it (or owns it) is a fraud and is sharing false jobs on Facebook to get others to sign up for this. Just wrong. Not a way to do business. We went out of our way to make a quote, and the job closed literally just minutes before we were able to send the quote. Whoever is reading this, knows it wasn’t right.

Dead app

Tried it in Boston as a contractor, only 1 job request within 100 miles and it was 3 months old. Nobody uses app

Too many surprises from contractors with additional costs

I’ve used several times and have to say am deleting the app now. There’s been only one incidence that I was truly happy with the quote I recieved- eg as described and no additional charges after

There were two incidences that I got charged more
1) painting- given a quote and then contractor wanted more money on the job. We kept getting pressured and it was uncomfortable so we did end up paying more, I wish it was just pay through the system and pay for the job exactly as quoted.

2) another contractor quoted us a price then after the job, invoiced us for double (he argued that the quote he gave was for installation of ONE item and bc I had two, it was double the fee). This was not communicated at all. Hence if payment was made directly through the app and the quote exactly how it was given, then this would be avoidable, same as above

3) it’s hard to review truthfully bc people are crazy these days. Contractors have your address and who knows if they’d do anything crazy if they’re upset with your review or whatever.

Not recommending this app to anyone.
