Great progress tracker
Great way to track my family member during her ultra. I was able to also send her audible encouragement during her run, which she enjoyed receiving from several people during her race.
Kind of useless
It doesn’t really give you tracking info from race gates. It requires the runner to carry a phone and only gives you data from the phone. So if they don’t have their phone on them it thinks they haven’t started. And the splits and results are completely useless.
Inaccurate and clumsy
I’ve run many marathons and the instructions to use (turn it on when I cross the start line? Isn’t that what the bib is for?), the inability to pull up results in a timely fashion, and inaccuracy of my own results were quite discouraging. Terrible app.
Terrible Tracking App
If RaceJoy is the app being used to track runners at your goal marathon, then don’t expect it to work.

Nice updates on pace and finishing time. Didn’t receive the voice messages from my mom when I was running. Still a great app to have though. Thank you

Attempting to re download the app to track my wife, and myself in a race. App doesn’t allow you to update password, or properly download the app at all. Too glitchy, too unreliable. Don’t waste your time. The Colfax marathon organizers should NOT utilize this app in future years.

Disable the notification pop-up window!
The app works fine, but if you turn off notification every single time you open the app, a stupid pop-up window comes up and prompts you. There’s no way to turn this off even if you turn on notifications and just enable badges. It’s annoying AF and it just makes me delete the app whenever I don’t need it. They need to fix this.

Great app and easy to use
Today was my first time using this app to track my sister’s half marathon. The features were great, it was very accurate in helping me know where she was, so much so that I was able to see her in 4 different spots (which is hard to accomplish).

I love it! Family members can cheer you on and you can track your progress! Highly recommend this app for finding races and tracking friends
Race day failure
App tracked first 3 miles out of order and failed completely failed after mile 5.
Didn’t and still doesn’t show event starting
Waste of time trying to use this. Never showed my sisters race starting. Ended up going old school and just getting text updates from people at race. Why even offer this as an app?
Great app!
My son and daughter-in-law we’re in a race today in Illinois. I live in Iowa. I was able to follow their progress and cheer them as they ran. It was fun! Next best thing to being there.
Race joy app
I really enjoyed using Race Joy. It was so user friendly and easy to navigate before and after my race. I sent encouragement to my friend who was running which I thought was really cool. Soon as I crossed the finish line boom my time was emailed to me immediately.

Possibly the worst race app out there
The app requires you to enable tracking and carry your phone with you rather than just importing data from smart watches. You can’t see your yearly progress, for example the 2026 challenge, I have no clue how much progress I’ve made and there isn’t an obvious place to be able to view that information. The app seems like it was thrown together. It doesn’t track your personal progress, you have to search through a database and it can’t find your bin number or team. I don’t have a single positive thing to say about this app.
