Perfect for beginners!

I’m not a runner by any means. I started about 4 months ago and picked up Run with Hal to prepare for a 5k, and I’ve loved having a plan created for me! I will say sometimes it will have me run like 7 miles, which my mom (who is an experienced runner) says is a bit much for a beginner. Other than that, I love it!

Overall great, it appears could use slight improvement

I really enjoy the structure of the training program and the feedback. My only complaint is that when I use the app to track a run it often won’t let me save at the end of a workout and I end up having to enter the information manually

Hal believes in you!

I had a 10 mile race and I have previously gotten hurt and my times were getting worse and worse. I followed his plan and he predicted a pace for my race that I haven’t run in 10 years. I thought yeah right… well Yes Right! I ran that race and felt great and my time was amazing like he predicted. I followed it to a tee and it worked!!!!!!! Highly recommend! Hal believes in you and so now you can believe in you too!!

Ok not great

Very inflexible training program. Can only use a garmin and then manually enter the time. I said I was injury prone and the mileage was not adapted for that. If i do the workout tuesday instead of monday i cant log that run and have to enter everything manually. Runna is way more flexible, and adds all types of cross training workout. I will be going back to Runna and if need be just use Hal’s program online for free. Not worth paying for.

Worthless No Pacing Input. Why can I not put in my desired race pace????

I contacted the service about a month ago. I have been following the 18 Week Hal Higdon Advanced 2 marathon plan since Jan 11 and am in week 13 of the plan and have updated my paces since my last 10k to 41:04. Since then my long run paces have been absolutely insane. I am looking to run a 3:10 marathon but I am getting the app telling me I should have run my last long run at 6:42 for 20 miles. Why can I not put in my desired race pace???

I have attached a few screen grabs. This is a joke and now it is giving me issues and saying I am undertrained for not hitting those marks. I have attached the one for this Thursday that says I should do my run for 5 miles at marathon pace of 6:15!!! These times and the algorithm is totally off and is worthless to me now in my final weeks of preparation for my race. How is this possible, I guess I’ll be doing it on my own and not renewing or continuing with this worthless app. Terrible.
