Frustrating
Love the app but when choosing readers it doesn’t allow me to hear it before making the choice. Then says one token will be deducted and you will have to re load script if you want to make changes. For the money I shouldn’t have to do that. Particularly since it “says” it gives you the option to change voices before you generate audio.

Best Self Tape App
This app has completely transformed the way I approach auditions. I film every single one with Rafy now, and it’s made the whole process feel so much smoother, more efficient, and honestly way more enjoyable. It takes a lot of the stress out of self-taping and lets me focus on what actually matters, which is the performance.
I’ve been especially impressed with the new features. They’re super intuitive and actually feel like they were designed by people who understand what actors need. It’s one of those tools that, once you start using it, you can’t imagine going back.
If you’re an actor and you’re still figuring out your self-tape setup or just want to level up your auditions, you seriously need to try this.

So handy when you have last minute auditions and don’t have a reader!! Super user friendly and easy to use!! Definitely a game changer
Bad, needs improvement
This thing is junk, barely picks up on what your saying and you won’t be able to keep your beats. I can’t even get through an audition with this app.

I wanna give it a 5 star but there’s def glitches like it’ll freeze on me while taping and I had tokens but I can’t afford a plan and when it expired my tokens disappeared..that’s not right esp since I paid for them when I first got subscription.
So close but not enough
This product is incredibly convenient, and I genuinely wanted it to work.
Unfortunately, the system that detects when you’ve finished a line, in order to trigger your AI scene partner’s next response, is disruptively inconsistent and often inaccurate.
You’re better off manually timing the responses, but that completely strips away the freedom to explore the scene during a live take.
I truly hope the product improves, but until then, please take this as a warning:

Almost good
There needs to be an option to edit the script because sometimes you don’t know there is a mistake in it until you do the practice run and if there’s an error in it now you have to do the whole thing over, which takes away your credits. Also, the voices are just too robotic. This is a great idea, but not a great execution. It needs work. But I see the vision.

The readers sound too robotic and still glitches when it comes to recording.
No reader? No problem!
Can’t explain how much of a game changer this is. I used to miss so many auditions bc I couldn’t find a reader but this app made it possible to quickly get self tape auditions done without needing a reader. It helps me memorize my lines much faster too. Thanks to the rafy team on creating such an awesome app and can’t wait to see how this grows.

Scam
Do not use this app! They contradict their guidelines! I cancelled my subscription within the first hour I purchased it and it doesn’t work! It’s not user friendly and manipulates you into buying more tokens. It doesn’t work.
Super helpful!
Rafy has been so helpful not just for self tapes but also to help run lines to memorize. I love that there are different voice options for the reader. And that you can delay the reader’s onset which is nice. I do find that if I speak too quickly during an emotionally heightened scene, it doesn’t always register that I’m done with my section and so it doesn’t come in. Also sometimes when I take a pregnancy pause before finishing my lines, it thinks I’m finished and comes in early with its lines, which can be a bit frustrating. But overall, when you don’t have a human reader, it’s a really great option! And customer support has been super responsive and helpful!

Not sure about this
Tried to use test this app, but the first audition I had was too long so I couldn’t actually use the app without paying. The second time I got one, which was shorter. I tried to use the app, but that first one had already somehow used a credit. Can’t even test out this app properly to know if it would work for me.

No support option
There isn’t a way to get help. Only links to a few videos. The volume fix of turning it up and restarting does not work. I hear myself fine even on playback. I can’t get the reader volume loud enough to hear on the same tape. And I can’t barely hear it when I am recording. If I use a microphone on my iPhone, you don’t hear anything at all. Why is there no way to contact support for help!

Great self tape app
I’ve used this as a backup when I can’t get a reader in a pinch. Not the same as a live reader but gets the job done. Great options for customizing the reader’s timing and read.

Best self-tape app out there
Love this app for running lines and self-taping without having to call a bunch of friends to see who is available. I personally feel much better doing it all on my own, I can take my time, watch it over, and record again if I want to… no stressing about taking my friend’s time. I can’t believe this didn’t exist before! It’s been a game changer for me. Customer support is amazing too, thank you Rafy team! 💗
