The Best Rail App
When I have train issues this is by far the best app. I can check many routes incredibly quickly, swapping between departures and arrivals. No other app has allowed me to navigate delays and cancellations like this one. Highly recommended.
THE goto train & platform app
I’ve used this app since my recommended it to me a few years ago. No bloat features just straightforward, rapid access to journey planning and live trains & platforms. National Tail/GB Rail should just write these guys a blank cheque and let them to fill in whatever they need to fund the running of this app forever. Beats the NR app and all the others that try (any fail!!) to show passengers what they need to know, when they need it know hands down

The best train times app
I can’t praise Railboard enough! I love having the train times when I need one, and I love that I can save favourite journey planners as well as boards as both help me every day. Thanks for making the app accessible with VoiceOver too, so few are.
No season tickets
Would be useful for myself if I could get my monthly pass on it. ScotRail app is woeful so the best alternative is Trainline. Lack of monthly pass kills this for me.
Clear and Easy to use
I find this app so clear and straightforward - it’s perfect for quickly checking live train times, and easy to find and buy tickets. Exactly how an app should be!
Continually crashes during purchases
The latest release crashes during a purchase and does not deliver your tickets. And then a day later your credit card gets charged..
Poor planner
No way to select quickest or shortest journeys - so the planner gives me round robin trips taking double the amount of time than others in London (same departure and destination!).
Pinned Journeys
Allows me to pin journeys for future lookup, so I can immediately know platforms and departure times. Has up to date platforms and arrival / departure times, with reasons for any delays.
Great and simple!
Easy to use, no clutter, no nonsense.
Needs work
Works ok but not straight forward. Takes time to work the ap out saved and pin journeys need revision
Goodbye Trainline
Found this app cheaper than Trainline also it puts offs if your tickets into Apple wallet which is needed if you need to claim compensation due to late train. Trainline does not do that once your journey has finished
Use it every day
Best app for live train times without stuffing ads or tickets down your throat! So enjoyable to use.
Best rail app
Railboard is the app I use 90% of the time to navigate the rail system. I say 90%… the other 10% of the time I use Trains app - it has a ‘Next train home’ button - brilliant when one’s head is fuzzy and there are several stations to choose from. Add that function to Railboard and I’ll use it 100% of the time.

The best train app out there
This is hands down the best app out there. It has never let me down. Accurate information, easy to understand, interface is simple, platform information, headcode, train destination and the ability to pin journeys. I would be totally lost without this app!! I tell everyone to download it

Switch to this for rail planning and ticket purchases
I was really sick of the platform decay of other rail booking apps in the UK. You know the ones which pop up adverts for hotel booking or “cashback” opportunities when you’re booking a ticket to the office. This app simply let me book a ticket and add it to my wallet. It just works, so I will keep using it.

Finally! A UK rail app that shows live departures and offers a nice booking experience (split tickets, Apple Pay, invoice, add to calendar etc).
